Staff was rude on were the camp site was. Ponds full of weeds, Kids could not fish. Nothing going on for the kids. 3 years a go this place was great and now with the new owners, this place sucks.

Talk about the worst camping trip ever!! I would never go here again and I will tell everyone I know not to go their either. We live just down the road and thought it would be a nice little get away. What a joke, golf carts driving around all night not to mention the drunks screaming, yelling and honking the horns until 3am. Then you get the port-a-potties that have not been cleaned since last year and don't expect to find toilet paper. The showers have to be held in so you can only clean yourself with 1 hand. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I noticed there was some few bad reviews from the past, I believe this was due to the transition to the new owners. We had a travel trailer last year and had gone to many campgrounds and thought we would never stay in 1 place. Last June we ended up there last minute went back the following weekend and never left. We became a seasonal and left our camper on the site. And signed for 2011. They have alot of activities for the kids and adults they're themed weekends are fun. The kids love it there and have met other to play with. We notice for this coming season they already have been cleaning up and prepairing more sites for weekend campers. Having the pool,lake with boat launch, playground, tennis, basketball ,horseshoes and all the activities we didnt need to go anywhere else plus weve meet some really great campers. So if your thinking about going there do so and make your mind up for yourself. Anyone can have a bad experience anywhere its how you deal with it is how your trip will turn out..

We used to be a sesonal back in the 70's and 80's infact my family had three sights back then. Couldn't wait to get up to lakeland every week-end and have some good times and good memories. After staying there this past week-end I was very upset with the way Lakeland has become. My grandson who is 3 was nearly mowed down with a golf cart. The other grandson was playing soccer and was nearly hit by a golf cart coming up into the site. I myself walking down to the lake was asked to move so this golf cart could pass me!!! This campground which was so great years ago has turned into a money making business. The people in the store where so rude, no smiles, no talking or even an aknowledgement that you where standing there. My memories of 20 years of camping there where taken away, I should of never booked a week-end to bring my Children and their children back. Very sad when I left but who cares I was just a week-ender not a Seasonal.
