I was traveling from Western Canada to the East of Canada with a few quick stops in the Mid West of the US so I had most of my bedding with me. I had become used to taking all the sheets off except for the fitted one, and using my own comforter. I did this at all the hotels I stayed at and this one was no different, however it was VERY different. At all the other hotels I had a nice fresh fitted sheet on the bed, where as this place I found a slept in sheet with pubes in it! I was moved to a new room, only to find the exact same scenario.

DO NOT STAY HERE WITHOUT CHECKING THE BEDS!!

I came on here to check out the hotels and read all the reviews. I was skeptical, but in todays economy I decided to take a chance and stayed. I had the pleasure of meeting two great front desk ladies, Dianne and Mel. They were both very helpful and pleasent. The building is older but you can see that they are working on improvements. The outside has been repainted and the room was clean and tidy. It is clear to me that they are trying and you cant have everything prefect all the time. They dont get a lot of business so I am sure with as many rooms as they have that they cant go into everyone everyday. I was missing a towel and Mel was very happy to bring it down and apologised for it. Give it a try.

Where do I start? When I checked in the front desk lady was so rude!! (what a way to start off a mini vacation) We got to our room and found that it was a bit dirty. Toilet paper wad behind the door, BIG flys flying around, a nasty hair on the toilet (ewww). Well, since we had to stay there due to a wedding we managed to look past that and stayed. We went to our wedding the next day and was gone ALL day. We get back to our room after a very long day and find that the housekeeping didn't even come and give us fresh towel, make our bed, empty our trash NOTHING!!!!!!!! So we had to go to the front desk to get towels, ect.... I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. VERY DISAPOINTING!!!!!

We paid for a weeks stay. Since the check-in lady did not know how to enter a weeks stay, I was told to come pay the remaining balance on Friday. We headed up North to the cabin for the holiday weekend only to get a rude phonecall from the manager that she was not informed of the week stay so technically we had only paid for two nights. We were planning on "living" in a motel while we searched for a place to live. She wanted a payment at that time even though we HAD paid. Her employee made a mistake. We were hung up on. We traveled back to Menomonie from the cabin a day early to pay a deposit which had never been asked for and asked to sign a piece of paper before we would be let in our room. We had ZERO room service (housekeepin) the ENTIRE week. The manager (Diane) was unhelpful, rude, unapologetic and non-management material through the entire horrible and un-fair experiences.
