“Needs Renovation - Still May Be Marshfield's Best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 June 2011

Marshfield does not have good lodging options. The Holiday Inn is grossly overpriced,
breakfast is not included in the room rate and it is adjacent to a very mediocre restaurant. The Baymont is in a quiet location, has recently upgraded its bedding and in general, is acceptable if not spectacular lodging. The hotel needs some updating and it could use new curtains in the sleeping rooms as ours had holes in them allowing sunlight to come in at 5 AM. The breakfast offerings need to be diversified to offer healthier options.

Room Tip: Second floor, facing east are the quietist rooms

“Make Sure Housekeeping Closes Your Door When They're Done”

Stayed here for 3 nights over Thanksgiving. We left our room around noon Thanksgiving Day and returned around 9:30 that night to find our room door WIDE OPEN, with the door jamb keeping it propped open. Luckily nothing was taken from the room, but regardless, what kind of service is that? I've never experienced this anywhere I've stayed - how hard is it to remember to close a door? Complained to managment and the best they could offer was 20% off that day's cost. Their attitude essentially was if nothing was taken from the room, then what's the problem? Checked out the next day and will never ever stay at this place again. Overall the hotel seemed borderline adequate -- smallish, dingy rooms. Walls and floors are paper thin. Decent continental breakfast and pool. Just remember to take your valuables with you whenever you leave, since you might return to a wide-open door.

“These guys are great!!!”

We can't say enough about our stay at the Baymont Inn. We came in without reservations seeking refuge from a hotel down the street that we horrible...to say the least!!! The young lady at the front desk was very kind to us and offered us a room immediately. After checking in, her manager upgraded us to a suite that was awesome and for a great price! The room was clean, the bed was terrific and the morning breakfast was perfect for dining and dashing!! Marshfield is a small town with few places to choose from, but we would never hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. We did not get a chance to use the pool area, but it appeared that there was a little girl's birthday party going on and they were having a blast! The fitness center looked great too, but unfortunately no time to use.

“Baymont Inn and Suites has Excellent Customer Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2010

My father recently had surgery at St. Joseph's hospital in Marshfield so our family chose to stay at the Baymont. Not only is it dog-friendly, which was great because Dad was traveling with his goldendoodle, but the customer service is beyond excellent. We had several requests which were immediately attended to in a most friendly manner. From needing toothburshes and toothpaste, to extra pillows and blankets, the front desk was always friendly and accomodating. On our last morning there, after my father was out of the hospital and staying there to rest for a few days, we all went to have the fabulous continental breakfast. The tables were full so we said we would go back to our rooms. Sara, the front desk attendant, overheard us and told us she would open the conference room for overflow seating. This was such a generous gesture and it made our breakfast a relaxing and enjoyable event. It was just what our family needed after my father's surgery. Sara was so freindly and helpful and her positive attitude made our stay very enjoyable. We will definitely stay at the Baymont again when in town for clinic/hospital visits. One more thing, the whole building from the lobby, to pool area, to the rooms are immaculate. We LOVE Baymont Inn and Suites in Marshfield WI!!!!

“Forget about this place”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2010

I had read the reviews here and was encouraged. What we found was bad smells coming from the carpet in both the second floor hallways and the room. The only non smelly place was the tiled bathroom which was clean. Management gave us a spray bottle of disinfectant to try to mask the odors (cigarettes/cigar/musty smells) which did not help. The claim was it couldn't smell because the carpet was changed 4 years ago when units were made non-smoking. We planned to stay two nights but left after one because of the odors. We were offered a different room but declined. On site management would not refund for this unpleasant experience. I would advise avoiding this place and booking elsewhere.
