I spent a weekend here in August 2010 because I was attending a reunion weekend at a friend's house in Lodi. With not enough rooms for guests she recommended the Lodi Valley Suites just because they were one mile from her house. I read mixed reviews ... leaning mostly towards negative ... but I decided to take a chance on the place anyway. It was very conveniently located less than 1 mile from the party location so that was a huge plus and it was not expensive. We didn't spend much time in the room but the bathroom was clean and that's all I really care about. The rooms are not really SUITES. The name of the hotel is kind of misleading. Our room consisted of 2 queen beds, a small round dining table with 2 chairs, a dresser, and a TV. The sink/vanity was in the room instead in the bathroom which is convenient when someone needs to use the sink and there is someone indisposed in the bathroom. The air conditioner was kind of loud but we were so tired from partying at our friend's house that we fell asleep almost as soon as our heads hit the pillows.
The service was satisfactory. We had to wait a few minutes for someone to show up at the front desk when we arrived to check in. Check out was very easy. Morning coffee service was OK; weak coffee and prepackaged danish. Needless to say, we ate out all the time.
Bottom line, this place is OK if all you need is a place to sleep and shower. Otherwise it's nothing special.
