“Great room... but change the sheets please!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2010

I'm on the road at least 1-2 nights a week for work... The first thing I do when I get to my room is check to make sure the sheets have been changed. This is the second time I've had to request a different room here because the sheets hadn't been changed since the last person who slept in that room. Yeah, nasty. Besides that, it's actually a great hotel... just check the sheets!

“Nice place to stay”

My husband and I stayed at Countryside Inn for our 20th wedding anniversary. We had a great time although we would have liked to enjoy a beverage or two at the pool. No food or drink allowed in pool area! We got a whirlpool room the second night we stayed. Let me tell you there is no graceful way to get in and out of these tubs. A couple hand holds would help.
The gal that was at the front desk during the day was friendly but defiantly needs some lessons on professionalism. Get rid of your flip flops at work and at least try to be graceful.
All in all we had a nice stay. Clean rooms, free breakfast, pool, hot tub, not a bad price.

“A nice surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2010

Check-in was pleasant and the lobby and common areas had a nice appearance.
We headed to our room with our dog, and perhaps they put all people with dogs in one wing as we heard two dogs barking like crazy across the hall as we unlocked our door. Once inside our room we could not hear them though, which was great.
I was pleased to hear that the pool was open until midnight. It seems many places close their pool very early at night.
The room was clean and nicely decorated, although one of the night stands had some of the laminate coming off on the side trim.
Wireless was available in the lobby and the free breakfast included biscuits and gravy, waffles, breads, fruit, hot and cold cereal and juice.

“Best hotel in the Lodi - Sauk Prairie area!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2010

This hotel was absolutely fantastic! The staff was extremely friendly, the bathroom was HUGE, the room was spotless, the continental breakfast was great, the pool was fine, WHAT ELSE COULD YOU ASK FOR? We stayed at this hotel because we had to go to a wedding in Sauk City. Although this hotel is 20 minutes from Sauk City, it was well worth it! The location of the hotel is fine . . . there's a Rocky Rococo's, a Cousins Subs, and an A&W down the street -- all in the same building, which was very convenient. The staff was especially helpful -- they even let us check into our hotel room at noon, since we wanted to check in before the 1:30 wedding. This hotel offers Wi-Fi in public places, but the rooms are "hard-wired," so you must bring your ethernet cable along. Otherwise, this was the newest (built in 2004), cleanest, and friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in! STAY HERE! YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID!! :)

“Highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2010

My boyfriend and I took a short trip to Wisconsin to visit Devil's Lake. The Best Western was clean, comfortable, and had flexible staff. It seemed very new. Very enjoyable stay!
