“Staff Awesome Very Friendly Well Ran Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

Stayed at this hotel The week after Christmas. Very convenient to the Dells and Cascade Mountain. Went to both had a blast.Did the wine tour near Lodi great time. This hotel has a very warm lobby setting and a very friendly staff. Jimi Jamie and Alisha what great people. Very friendly always saying hello. Alisha even thanked me for being a good guest.Brekfast in the AM was ok. Large groups in the hotel this week but the hotel did a great job in welcoming everyone in a warm way. I would stay in Lodi again at this hotel. I would like to let the Owner Mike know he has a great staff at this hotel and it has to be one of the best hotels i have ever stayed at. Thanks for a great time. Jim Link Kentland In

“Better than average Best Western”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2011

Stayed there during a trip to Madison, WI. Location is convenient to the East side of town. Relatlively new property and it was in good shape, and everything worked OK. Nice big bathrooms with plenty of room. The only disappointment was the breakfast. There was not much of a selection or variety of items available compared to other motel chains that we have stayed at. However it was adequate.

Room Tip: We always ask for an upper room as they are quieter

“Clean and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

We stayed with our two dogs for a couple of nights during our Labor Day road trip and found the hotel comfortable and clean. The value is great with reasonable rates compared to those properties closer to the Dells area. The location is just of the interstate so it is a few miles from the interesting little town of Lodi and is just a short drive from many of the area’s attractions, State Parks and restaurants.

The room was clean and well appointed with the only negative being the noisy bathroom exhaust fan and the fact that the water contains a high level of nitrates. There is an actual health warning card on the vanity! The rooms air conditioning actually worked great and has a control on the wall. The property is newer and has nice lawn areas, decent parking and easy access to the rooms from various secure entries.

The complimentary breakfast left much to be desired. The area was dirty, tables were not cleaned, items were not replenished with any frequency.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor room near the end exits if travelling with pets

“Great Staff...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

We arrived early on Friday and rooms weren't ready yet, but "Jimmy" told us they'd be ready in an hour, so we asked what was around, told us about the ferry. We went to Lodi, met some great, friendly people there, had a fun couple of hours before returning to hotel. Alisa was at the desk and was checking in some people for a family reunion, computers went down, but she kept her cool, similed, and didn't panic. The rooms were clean, and large. The staff is very helpful and gave us some great places to eat and some pointers about where we were going to in the Dells. Yes, there is a dairy farm across the road, but the "odor" was only outside. Breakfast was good, basics and enough to get you started. Overall, the hotel is quiet, clean and friendly. Can't say enough about the staff that interacted with, Jimmy, Alisa, great Job. We would recommend staying there for anyone that wants to stretch their dollar. 30 min drive to the Dells and about the same to Madison.

“Hotel next to cattle farm!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 August 2011 via mobile

Nobody mentioned the fact that this hotel is located in the midst of cattle farms. The interior did not smell but it was unbearable even walking to our car. I realize that Best Western has no control over wind direction but for someone who brings a dog and needs to be outside this is not a pleasant experience.
