Victorian Dreams is unlike any other place I've stayed in.
John & Cindy were welcoming before we arrived, with an email inviting us to get in touch if we needed anything before we arrived.
We were the only guests in the hotel on the night we stayed. John & Cindy welcomed us and told us to make ourselves at home. We were then treated to some local wine and cheese, and a chat with our hosts, and some warm cookies too! They left us to it after that, but made it clear they were only a phone call away.
We stayed in Ella's Veranda suite, which was small but lovely. It was so comfortable, and had the softest sheets I have ever slept on. It was wonderful. This suite also has a lovely little terrace - great for relaxing with a drink and a good book.
In the hall there was a fridge and a basket of treats which we were welcome to use.
The lounge area was also comfortable and a great place to relax.
We took a wander into the main street. There are not many shops, but we visited the bar there. Everyone in Lodi was friendly.
In the morning, John & Cindy made us a lovely home-cooked breakfast, and chatted a little more before seeing us off.
This is the best hotel experience I have ever had, and I will cherish it forever.
