This was the first time my boyfriend and I stayed at this place. It was my birthday so we went there for 1 night. We get there to check in and half the electricity in the place works. The room lights didn't work above the bed, hot tub, and couch. The TV/cable didn't work either. There were no security lights outside that worked so when we went out to dinner it was hard to see going to the car. They offered 75 off but I think as a gesture they should have given us a free night stay. Everytime someone turned water on or the heater kicked on the lights would flicker - this happened all night long. They should have shut the Inn down till things worked properly. Bad business decision!!! Also I left my glasses behind and have called - they won't look for them or help me find them!!!!!

Quaint, charming, cozy...this place has character, history, and exceptional customer service. My husband and I stayed here in the Blue Moon Suite for our honeymoon in December 2008 and recently revisited for our 3 year anniversary in December 2011. On both occasions we were made to feel at ease and sincerely welcomed. The room in which we stayed was charming and quaint, especially at Christmas time when the room is decorated accordingly. You feel like you share a history with all of the couples who stayed there before you. The setting is so romantic, the service is great as well - always willing to make your stay special. My husband and I love spending some quality time away from "real life" hiding away at the Lazy Cloud Inn...and we will be back many more times!!

We stayed at the Lazy Cloud Inn in Dec. 2011 in the Brookside Suite. All the rooms at the inn are a theme room. Our suite had a huge fireplace and a jacuzzi tub. It was a wonderful getaway. This is the second time we have been there in the same suite. It is just so cozy and comfortable. You get a bottle of wine and we chose a carmel apple pie as our treat. For breakfast they give you a basket of delicious muffins and juice. The whole idea for this place is to enjoy your partner. There is no TV or phones. Amazing.

I can't even begin to express how wonderful hour experience was. We stayed at the Stone Grotto and didn't even realize there were other units until the next day when we left to go to town. It felt so private and exclusive! The picnic dinner was fabulous and so romantic. The room was very clean and had the perfect cozy feel. We even took a walk in the forest preserve in January which was serene. I would love to go back there and would certainly recommend it to anyone. The staff was so accommodating and friendly, it made me feel right at home.
