Stayed at Grand Genva for the first time this past weekend. Very close (10 minutes) from Lake Gevena). Unfortuantely with the warmer temperatures the ground snow was gone so cross-country skiiing was not an option. The grounds here are stunning and getting out to explore them is a must. Room was very nice, not anything amazing, though the TV hidden within the bathroom mirror was a very nice touch. Very clean. You can tell the age of the resort though it is well kept up and maintained. Take advanatge of the spa. My girlfriend and I did a couples massage which was very well done. Men's locker room attendant Nino did a great job keeping the area perfect and was more than happy to bring me drinks. Unfortuantely my girlfriend informed me the women's clocker room was a mess and the attendant a bit rude. The gym has more than you could want, lap pool, indoor tennis courts, cardio, weights, basketball, volleyball, etc. Summer at Grand would be gorgeous but with the crowd there in the winter I can only imagine summers would be a bit insane. Grand Geneva was the old Playboy Club so ask around for a bit of interesting history. The one main drawback for me was one night when I was following a couple of employees in the hall and they were swearing like drunk sailors. Not a huge thing but certainly distracts from the nice atmosphere. Food here at the restaurants is very good but also a bit overpriced. The steakhouse does a great job but you will PAY for it. Overall, a very good experience.
