From the moment we reached this hotel it should have been a warning sign. We called prior to confirm that we could check in early if we arrived before their scheduled 4 p.m. check in. We arrived at 11:45 only to be told to try back at 1 p.m. because the room wasn't ready, not a fun situation when your traveling with small children. We returned at 1 p.m. and were told once again the room wasn't ready, and to come back at 3. We returned at 3 p.m. and were told the room was not ready once again, at that time we were offered our wrist bands to MT. OLYMPUS, big deal! We've been driving since early morning and we're being offered the wrist bands on our 3rd attempt to check in, with no where to change. We returned at 4 p.m. finally being able to check in, we were put in the 300 building faceing an over flow parking lot for the Carousel Inn and Luna Inn, at least we were on the 2nd floor. When entering the room, it was o.k., nothing to write home about, the bathroom on the other hand had a tub that looked as though it had not been scrubbed in at least a month. The air conditioner worked well, though the little refridgerator had so much ice build up in and around the small freezer compartment it barely kept things cold, our cooler was colder. The TV didn't bring in that many channels, so be for warned. We had to call the office for a plunger because the toilet just wanted to overflow. I had to go down to the office daily for clean towels, wash cloths, hand soaps and toilet paper. I didn't realize staying at the Carousel Inn and Suites meant I was on a camping trip and had to supply my own. We left and came back one day and the beds were not made, the comforters just folded on the chair, blankets and top sheets thrown over the pillows. For the first two days their was no lifeguard on duty at the childrens pool, even though there is a sign on the gate stipulateing no lifeguard their were 2 their the following day. If you're looking for the ice machine be prepared to go out to the adult pool area as there are no ice machines in any of the hallways, though the 1st floors have indoor beverage machines. Every time I went down to the office there were guests compaining about one thing or another, one was complaining that they were only receiving 1 TV channel and that her patio door didn't lock, and traveling with small children you want that security and some type of visual entertainment for them. Upon check out guests are given a 10% coupon for their next reservation. How many poor trees have been wasted to print out these coupons for disatisfied customers? They do not offer coffee or donuts in the morning either even though you see compartments in their lobby for them at check in. also not to go unmention was the filthyness of the parking lot surrounding the property, it was riddled with litter, dirty diapers, etc. We contacted the sister property and are awaiting return calls from someone their as the manager at Carousel simply stated she'd talk to housekeeping. This manager has no consideration for the guests on the property, an unhappy customer of coarse means a non returning customer. Please be for warned and stay at your own risk!
