The GrandStay hotel is a beautiful place, easy to find, and great accomodations. I wish there were more GrandStays. The desk clerk was most helpful, cheerful and talkative. The hotel is neat, clean, spacious, comfortable, and all the superlatives you can name. We will look for more grandStay in our travels.

Finely appointed with great decor/furnishings. Breakfast has waffles and all the standards plus weird egg substitute and microwaved frozen sausages, the short fat Brown N Serves..

Good value if you're looking for mini apartment or a long term stay. The pool area looked inviting from my window, but I didn't get a chance to check it out any further. 1br has a pullout bed that worked for my daughter but I don't think I would have wanted to sleep on the 4" mattress over the bar, typical of pullouts....

The location is near the Riverfront area and probably walkable to the "downtown" section, but it'd be a bit of a hike (2.2 miles) to the UW La Crosse section of town which we were visiting, but we were able to drive there in 6 mins. The TomTom didn't have the new bridge on it and was confused, sent us back and forth over the bridge/river a few times... Be sure to use the NORTH front street, not the SOUTH front street...

This is at the end of the Riverfront Strip, down past the other hotels a bit, on a dead end, near some office buildings that are quiet at night, not in the think of things, but close enough for most...

My 9 yo daughter & I stayed for one night in August as a little get away before school started. The hotel is right by Riverside Park and within walking distance of downtown La Crosse's shops and many restaurants. Check-in was quick & easy and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby is beautiful with a nice sized breakfast area. There is a patio with gas grill, playground, basketball hoop, putting green, etc. right outside the breakfast area with lots of green space for kids to run. The swimming pool and hot tub were the tiniest I've every seen -- anywhere. Lucky for us we were there on a weeknight (Wed), and it was pretty quiet. Our room was amazing -- my daughter was in awe! She wanted to stay for a month! We had a nice sized kitchen (full size fridge/freezer with ice maker, cook top stove, microwave, dishwasher, and enough utensils & dishware to cook a simple meal (we did not), living area and bedroom with one queen bed. The bathroom was very roomy. The bed & pillows were super comfortable. My daughter opted to sleep on the pull-out in the living room because the TV was larger than the one in the bedroom (neither one was very big and no flat screens yet - not a big deal for me, but might be for some). The pull-out was very comfortable as well. Check out was a breeze - just call the front desk and leave your keys in the room. Next time we need a little river getaway, we will definitely stay at this hotel!

no problems here -- clean, friendly, --- we didn't use the"residential" amenities but they looked good.... breakfast had yogurt (all we eat - so it was fine) --- looked standard - not the greatest, not the worst....
