If you want a clean and affordable room in a fairly safe, suburban area with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby, then I recommend this hotel. I've stayed at plenty of hotels in Brookfield on the company's tab, but if you're paying the bill, the La Quinta Inn is one of the most reasonable for an overnight stay in the area. You won't get all the amenities here (no spacious rooms, no pool, no microwaves or refrigerators), but because of the bare bones atmosphere, you'll save yourself some extra bucks to use instead at the many good restaurants and shops in the vicinity. There are a few amenities like free internet access, a small workout room and La Quinta's Brightside Breakfast, served in an attractive lounge, which was surpisingly more than I expected considering the price of the room, nothing exciting, but ok. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Front desk staffer seemed to be stretched a bit, answering phones and checking customers in, but not a huge wait since I checked-in early. Might be an issue though at busier check-in times.
