I never did get to stay at this hotel due to a horrible confusion with my rate. I booked 5 rooms for an employee outing to Milwaukee brewer game 3 months in advance under a government rate. I explained what was going on and the woman said fine and explained that I would need my state employee ID. I said no problem. I even called numerous times and got an email confirmation. Then on July 12th one week out from the reservation I got a call from the hotel general manager telling me they would not be honering the rate and it would be now double per room. He said Marriot has a new policy that the rate has to be booked under multiple names and that paperwork has to be provided for the work I am doing there. I explained this was an outing and all I was told I needed was an id. He said thats not his problem and those are the rules. I was stunned !!! I understand the rules but ONE WEEK out to call me and there are no other hotels available with 5 rooms for a decent rate during the July 21st weekend in Milwaukee!!!! I even called corperate and a woman Named Savannah said I should have used my head and said she was done dealing with this and HUNG UP!!!! I can not not believe marriot acted like this and as a starwood platinum member who should have used my head and booked the sheraton, I will NEVER STAY AT A MARRIOT again!!!
