“Excellent Experience - not the Bellagio, but not trying to be”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

I travel for business from Chicago to Wisconsin every week. I typically stay here at least two nights a week and it literally has become my home away from home. The staff is great, especially Dave at the front desk, who is always extremely helpful and goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy your stay.

This is a very comfortable environment with an excellent location close to a couple of malls, Hooters, TGI Friday's right across the street, list goes on.

If you are in the area, I suggest giving this place a try. Ive stayed at most hotels in the area and consistently go back to this one.

Room Tip: they have single rooms and doubles, both have desks for business and free wi-fi. both singles and d...

“Nice basic hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

This hotel is suitable for an extended stay. Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds, chair and sofa. Full kitchen. The daily breakfast was limited and very boring since it was exactly the same every single day. Fruit, cereal, and blueberry muffins. Surely they could find some other kind of muffin. The location is convenient to the interstate and a short trip to downtown Milwaukee. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, including a nice grocery store a block away.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms are much quieter.

“A Decent Place to Stay at a Decent Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

he hotel is a typical part of the Marriott chain: Clean and comfortable. I have stayed at every other level of Marriott (from a Fairfield to a J.W.) but this was my first visit to a Towne Place Suites. I've travelled a lot over the years and always seek a clean place to say. Seems like that's not asking a lot, but with some chains it is. This place was clean. Granted a lot of the furniture was worn (leather chair was ripped and shredded in a few obscure places, the walls had plenty of dings, and the sofa had seen better days, but in the end it was all clean). I spent two days in the studio suite. The room was nicely laid out and spacious. I blew a fuse one night with my computer, cell phone, and camera charger all plugged in around the desk, and the lamp on the desk sparked and had to be replaced. But the response by the hotel was good. Service overall was good, uneven at times, but good. Great location near shopping, with a grocery store a short walk away to cook meals in the room or on the grill outside of registration. Outdoor swimming pool seemed nice, but we didn't use it because the weather was too cold. The free breakfast was unspectacular: Apples and bananas, a selection of cereals, OJ, milk, pre-packaged muffins, and coffee. And seriously that was it. I've seen better breakfasts at other chains, but for a quick breakfast of cereal and fruit, it was sufficient. I'd stay here again primarily because it is an inexpensive option to other places like the Residence Inn. Of course if you've got the money to spend on a nicer hotel go for it. If you'd rather save some money and still have a decent place to sleep at night, stay here.

“A nice family vacation”

I spent 10 days at the Towneplace Suites in Brookfied while on vacation with my family and could not have been happier.

No - it's not luxurious like a full service Marriott, but the room was nicely sized and had a kitchenette with a full-sized refrigerator, oven, range, microwave, and dishwasher. This made in-room meals a breeze. Just as importantly, the room was quiet! Also helpful was the very inexpensive on-site laundry facility ($1 wash, $1 dry).

There are numerous restaurants in the area - two of our favorites were Kopps (for burgers & custard) and Marty's (for pizza).

The location was fantastic for proximity to Milwaukee's fantastic Zoo. Other attractions are easily accessed from I-94, a 5 minute drive away. From I-94, Miller Park is ~ 15 minutes away, downtown ~20, and the lakefront ~25.

The outdoor pool was a bit small, but clean, well maintained, and with plenty of lounge chairs. A small fitness center had all of the essentials.

The Towneplace Suites may be considered a category 1 location, but I'd stay here again any time.

“Just Average Hotel - A bit of disappointment compared to other Marriot's”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2010

We booked this hotel because we wanted to get a 2 bedroom suite to try and save some money vs. getting 2 separate rooms elsewhere. We typically stayed at Radison in Pewaukee but found if we shared this room with another couple that we are friends with it would save us about 50%. When we walked in were bit disappointed. We had stayed at Marriot Residence Inn downtown the night before and were very impressed so this one really just didn't compare. It was an older room, older appliances, style and decor. It is in need of updating. It also felt pretty cramped. Overall though it didn't matter too much to us because we weren't going to be in the room much anyhow. We had plans so the room really was just to sleep and it did serve that purpose. We were in room 118 which was lower floor room right by stairwell. This was not good for noise because you could hear people tromping up and down the stairs. It was more of an issue in the morning because we wanted to sleep in from a late night the night before. Also, no breakfast at this hotel. I think next time I will look for a different 2 bedroom suite hotel hopefully something with free breakfast. With all of this being said... we did get a pretty good deal. The room was like $140 with taxes and all that and we split it with the other couple so only about $70 which was much cheaper than we normally pay at the Radison (however the Radison is much nicer).
