he hotel is a typical part of the Marriott chain: Clean and comfortable. I have stayed at every other level of Marriott (from a Fairfield to a J.W.) but this was my first visit to a Towne Place Suites. I've travelled a lot over the years and always seek a clean place to say. Seems like that's not asking a lot, but with some chains it is. This place was clean. Granted a lot of the furniture was worn (leather chair was ripped and shredded in a few obscure places, the walls had plenty of dings, and the sofa had seen better days, but in the end it was all clean). I spent two days in the studio suite. The room was nicely laid out and spacious. I blew a fuse one night with my computer, cell phone, and camera charger all plugged in around the desk, and the lamp on the desk sparked and had to be replaced. But the response by the hotel was good. Service overall was good, uneven at times, but good. Great location near shopping, with a grocery store a short walk away to cook meals in the room or on the grill outside of registration. Outdoor swimming pool seemed nice, but we didn't use it because the weather was too cold. The free breakfast was unspectacular: Apples and bananas, a selection of cereals, OJ, milk, pre-packaged muffins, and coffee. And seriously that was it. I've seen better breakfasts at other chains, but for a quick breakfast of cereal and fruit, it was sufficient. I'd stay here again primarily because it is an inexpensive option to other places like the Residence Inn. Of course if you've got the money to spend on a nicer hotel go for it. If you'd rather save some money and still have a decent place to sleep at night, stay here.
