“Outdated and no hot water”

I have been staying at this hotel for over a year because of work location and negotiated rate. The staff are friendly and genuine, however, the bar and dining facilities are outdated and depressing, you can only watch 6-8 TV channels clearly, the rest have extremely poor reception. Recently I stayed for two nights and both nights I did not have hot water. After complaining the first night, the staff assured me that it will be fixed. It was not, after complaining the second night they assured me it will be fixed in the morning, again it was not. Upon checking out, I complained again to the front desk, they assured me that the problem had been fixed and the water will get hot after a few hours and that I should go back to my room and have a shower. Obviously, this person was not sensitive to the customer and does not understand when someone checks out of a room, they are not going to return to the room. Most people have to go to work or catch a flight. She did not offer any apology or any type of compensation, frankly as a Platinum member I expect better. This has happened to me twice before, the previous times, the staff were apologetic and offered points.

Thank you for continually staying with us at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel. We appreciate your patronage and loyalty, especially as one of our elite Platinum members.

I apologize you felt disappointed during this stay.

We had an issue where one of our main boilers went down. When you called to report the lack of hot water during the night of your stay, this was the first call we received about this issue. Our Engineering team worked on the problem and thought it was solved. Unfortunately, the boiler also failed during the morning. We brought in professional tradesmen as soon as possible to fix the problem.

We cannot foresee when unexpected events, such as our hot water boiler failing, are going to occur but that does not excuse the way our Guest Service Agent handled the situation with you upon check out. I have addressed your comments with the Front Office Manager and she will be following up with her team members.

Starwood Hotels and Resorts did let us know you contacted our Corporate Customer Service team and they were able to offer you Starwood Preferred Guest points as compensation for your inconvenience.

“Even My Kids Were Disappointed”

I was there with my two girls. The pool was great, as were the pool and housekeeping staff. The bedding was nice, as well. Unfortunately, we were treated coldly by the reservationist on the phone (we called ahead to say we would be late) and the front desk staff (unkempt and unfriendly). We were told "It is a completely different thing when you book through Hotwire." On top of that, the room was shabby, at best. Not at all what we expected from a Sheraton--at any price. We will find other accommodations next time we are in Milwaukee.

Thank you for staying at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel. It was good to see you.

I apologize you felt our Reservations Agent and Guest Service Agents were unfriendly. As you can see in our previous reviews, this is definitely not the norm. We welcome and appreciate each and every guest who books at the Sheraton. It does not matter what booking site you use, we’re happy to have you stay with us.

When you do book through a third party, such as Hotwire, there are a few things we are limited from doing. We are unable to make any name changes, print receipts, etc; all changes and requests must be made through the site which you booked your reservation on. Also, when booking on a third party site, such as Hotwire, many times bed types are not guaranteed. In order to secure your requested room type, we recommend booking on Sheraton.com to secure the lowest rates and designated room types.

I also apologize you felt our room was “shabby.” Our last major renovation was completed in 2008. We are constantly touching our public and private spaces to keep our hotel as fresh as possible. If you do find something is unsatisfactory in your guest room, please let us know about it! We can’t fix a problem if we don’t know it exists.

I’m glad you were able to enjoy our complimentary indoor pool. I’m also delighted to see our wonderful Housekeeping team members were able to assist you.

“Consistent Stay Experience But Showing Age”

This Sheraton was redone several years back when Sheratons first started being updated and is now showing its age. When the room were first redone the were very nice and the furniture comfortable and useful. In the last year the carpets are getting very worn down and stained, and the room bathrooms are showing some mold in the tubs.
However I commend them on maintaining an excellent workout facility, a consistently efficient staff, and usually a a hassle free stay.
The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and the quality of these has not suffered at all.

Thanks for staying at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel.

Our last major renovation was completed in 2008. We are constantly refreshing our public and private spaces to keep our hotel as “new” as possible.

We are also completing some minor renovations. In December 2011 we finished a complete renovation in both our Cardio and Strength rooms. Later this month we are scheduled to finish installing new closet doors into all of our 389 guest rooms.

I apologize that you think you had mold in your bathroom. This is an issue that we take very seriously. If you do find something is unsatisfactory in your guest room, please let us know about it. It is our goal to make sure each and every guest who leaves the Sheraton has a wonderful time.

I’m delighted you were able to enjoy a restful night’s sleep on our award winning Sheraton Sweet Sleeper beds.

“Comfortable Rooms”

Stayed hear three night in January. Great location right of interstate and in mall parking lot. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. The rooms are very comfortable. Nice beds great pillows and nice office space. The rooms are very quiet,nice pool and exercise area.

Room Tip: I always request the wisconsin tower. quiet area

Being located right next door to the upscale Brookfield Square Mall gives our guests to opportunity to shop and dine at over 100 stores and restaurants.

“Nice older hotel”

Clean room, small bathroom. For a woman you need space to spread out to get ready. Did not haven king size bed so had to settle for two double beds.
I loved the customer service and parking was good.
