I read the reviews on this site before going to this campground, and unwisely chose to ignore the post about the owners bothering the campers. Sadly, my trip to Lost Falls ended up being the worst camping experience I have ever had.
My friends and I go camping somewhere different every summer and have experienced good and bad as far as campgrounds go. We planned on staying the weekend at this place, and the 5 of us were all set up on Friday night, sitting by the fire and talking, when the owner came by on her little golf cart and told us that we were being too loud and causing a disturbance and had better be out by 9 AM the next morning or she would call the sherrif's department. When I followed her back to her cart and tried to calmly explain that we had only been sitting there talking and that the large group of drunk people across from us was probably the one causing the disturbance, she started screaming at me and grabbed my arm and told me that this was "not the right campground for you, honey!" Needless to say, she refused to believe me that we hadn't done anything wrong. When later we were sitting in our tent with a lantern, trying to decide what to do now that we had no place to stay in the morning, she came over and tried to pretend to BE the sherrif's department and threatened us once again that we would have to leave in the morning or else. Aparently our little lamp was too much, as were our quiet voices.
Fifteen minutes later we were packed up and out of there before we had to deal with anymore of that, and we stayed in a hotel all weekend. As we were packing up, she drove by again and taunted us. They run a tight ship; there was not a light to be seen nor a voice to be heard as we drove out of the campground.
Unless your favorite part of summer camp as a child was when the counselors said "lights out and be quiet!" this is not the place for you! The owners seemed to be much more concerned about geting our money than letting us relax and be on vacation!
