We booked the whirlpool room for a romantic weekend in what we thought was an historic b&b near the attractions of Spring Green WI. The house was actually built in the 1990's, and our room was in the basement with only small windows. The pictures show curtains that are in front of walls. Most problematic, our room was under the kitchen and dining room, so when Dawn began breakfast preparations about 6:30, we could hear her chopping, walking, and opening and closing drawers. We had signed up for the second breakfast seating so we could sleep in, but the eight other guests were eating above our sitting area, and we could clearly hear every word they said. Early risers might not be bothered by these issues, but the lack of soundproofing certainly detracted from our lazy romantic weekend.
