This is an historic home walking distance from the shops, restaurants and most of the sites in Shepherdstown. My room (Room 3) was very comfortable and nicely decorated - and I didn't mind that I had to cross the hall to the bathroom (only for my room). I really liked the back porch overlooking the yard and the complementary sherry in the living room. The breakfast was excellent! There is free parking either on the street or in a lot behind the house. The only major draw back is that the house is on a very busy corner with a surprising amount of traffic for such a small town. There is simply no way to escape the traffic noise (a police siren woke me up at 4:30am even though I was wearing earplugs).
