I stayed at the Clarion for a business trip in the area. It is reasonable, attractive, and convenient. Staff at reception and Tavern were extremely helpful.

Hotel is clean and shows signs of wear just about everywhere. Complementary wireless internet connection is great. Restaurant has awlful, bland, unappealing, overcooked food -- especially breakfast buffett. At 0700 in the morning that seemed strange. Staff is friendly, outgoing and helpful. The price is decent for what you get in the room.

We stayed at the Clarion in Shepherdstown in October 2011. This was one of our stops while bike riding the C&O Canal Tow Path from Cumberland to DC.This hotel is exceptional. The room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. We had dinner at the restaurant. The food (dinner and breakfast) was very good and the service great. The manager and staff were both friendly and responsive to our needs. We would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Clarion for the 2011 Freedom's Run. My room was bigger than expected, clean, quiet, and comfortable. It was basic but had a microwave and fridge. The hotel provided a van at no charge for runners to and from the event, which was extremely helpful considering it was cold and raining. The front desk staff was friendly and the lobby comfortable. I didn't visit the restaurant or bars or try to use their wireless, so I can't review those.
