We were in town for a wedding and here's what we found:
Hidden fees.
Made zero effort to clean the rooms - disgusting.
Rooms had obvious damage.
Staff was rude.
Refused refund.
Refused to allow customers to speak with manager.
We were forced to leave without our money and find somewhere else to stay at the last minute.
I wish we would have thought to take pictures - it was unbelievable.
Do yourself a favor and read reviews for a hotel before you make a reservation, please - I don't want anyone to have our experience.

Where do I start, thick cobwebs all over in the ceiling. Two full sized beds, one with a broken leg....you would have had to held on for dear life to stay in it. The bathroom was so disgusting. The crud/filth behind the toilet was bad enough - I not sure what had been sprayed and had dripped and dried on the inside of the bathroom door. Speaking of the door, there was only a knob on the inside...and the hole in the door was for extra ventilation I guess?!?! After thoroughly checking the bed for crawling things we reluctanly crawled into the bed and laid on something lumpy being disguised as a mattress. In the morning we just wanted to shower and get on the road.....surprise....the shower didn't work. We had to use the tub and the only way to keep the water in was by stuffing a washcloth in the drain. Interestingly, there is not a persons to be seen in the morning to even complain to about the unacceptable and deplorable conditions. There was no one to complain to that evening either....it was around midnight when we checked in after hours on the road....you stood outside to do you paperwork and pay and then they headed back to their bed. We will never stay at another Red Carpet Inn. If you are near Parkerburg WV keep going down the highway, you'll be glad you did!

My stay is from 9-7- 10 to 11-20-10 . I ' am working an outage at a power plant near by. And checked other hotels near by for rates. Red carpet inn has a very good long term rate and that is all it has . Rooms are far from being clean . Cob webs in every corner bathroom shower walls stained tub Old . King bed in room and you can feel the springs . I went out and bought a topper mattress for it. Drawers fall out when you pull open . Maid service is not so good when you stay for periods . You haft to tell them to change bed sheets and vacuum . If you can put up with this then make a reservation . Good luck .

When I made my reservation online through AAA, it stated that pets were $5/pet, when I checked in the gentleman at the desk said it was $8/pet, then he said it was per night also. He refused to honor the reservation total that was given to me and confirmed through AAA. Any other place I have stayed has just charged a per pet fee but usually not per night just a flat rate. The air conditioner was very loud and I think it seriously needed a good cleaning for it caused everyone to be congested so most of the time we suffered with the heat (since we were from Vermont and not used to 80 degrees yet). The continental breakfast consisted of Little Debbie still muffins and cinnamon buns that were stale (even though sealed) and old coffee. The only good thing overall was the housekeeper did all we asked of her.
