“Friendly staff and good accommodation at a reasonable price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

I stayed in this little gem in order to be close to the Fiestaware factory for a little shopping excursion the next morning. I booked through Expedia, and check-in was quick and painless. The room was clean and tidy, stocked with everything we might need, and we were able to put our beer in the fridge and heat up some leftovers in the microwave. I slept like a baby - the bed was comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was fine, and I have to say I had never seen an automatic pancake maker before - I thought that was pretty cool! The food was fresh and the hot water for making tea was actually hot! The staff were very friendly, willing to make small talk and always with a smile on their face. I didn't have occasion to need Wifi, television, or any other extras, so I can't comment on that, but as for a neat and tidy, inexpensive hotel, this did the job.

“Great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

My wife and I stayed here last weekend and we were very pleased with our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable and had a microwave and mini fridge. The free breakfast they offer from 6am to 10am was the best! They had all sorts of hot and cold food choices along with great coffee and juice. The hotel is only 4 minutes from the casino and race track if thats something your doing while your there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and reasonable priced place to stay. Have fun and good luck if you go to the track. :)

i have stayed here a few times in the past and really enjoyed it for about $40.00 less than this time ..it is a nice place clean, comfy everything fairly new but bottom dollar for a room was $130.00 i find this steep (very steep) for a repeat customer starting into the off season...i arrived at 330 pm and had called ahead and ask for a room on the top floor when I arrived I was told it wouldnt be clean for 25 min...so I took a 2nd floor instead of waiting...everything was good but the price..I could have got a comparable room 15 mile south in weirton for $89.00 but I didnt have time to go that far due to computer log in my truck...I would prob not stay here agian unless it was a time situation as this stay was...Its a nice place but overpriced

“Not your typical Holiday Inn Express”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2011

I've stayed at many Holiday Inn Express properties , but this is among the worst. As a franchise property, the do not carry the level of service that I have expect. each time I have stayed here, the service has been horrible! The staff have always been poorly trained, and the management the same. I approached the desk with a concern on my last visit, and the young female manager yelled at me from her desk, "what do you need?", and didn't even come to the front desk.
It looks like a Holiday Inn Express, but what you get here is something very different.

“Going Downhill”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2011

My family has stayed here many, many times and loved it. But, this time was just not as nice. We couldn't get the room we wanted, but we were okay with that. The kids were excited about the hot tub and swimming. We usually visit family, come back to the hotel and swim and play in the hot tub. We've been doing this since the opened. This time the pool was freezing and the hot tub had a big cement looking thing over it. I could have gotten the same room elsewhere for much cheaper, but we choose Holiday in Express because of the amenities - which were not available.

The worst part is when we reserved our room we bought into that package deal for hotel rooms that are used within the year. Now, I'm wondering if we did the right thing.
