Stopped here on our way to NY state. Just needed a place to stay. Not at all familiar w/ the area & no previous internet research for hotels. Easy access, right off the interstate. Stopped at another hotel across the parking lot. Room was $130 & no breakfast. Went into Days Inn across from first place. AARP rate was $69 King, non-smoking, incl. free breakfast. Parking lot NOT well lighted & somewhat fearful of possessions left in car overnight. Luckily nothing taken. Car OK. Place looked a little old so I asked how new the room was (most recent refurbish). Clerk said the king rooms were only about 4 mo. old since they just added 'king' beds to property. Night desk clerk very pleasant. No complaints about her. Lobby dark & somewhat depressing. Room was OK. Seemed to be new carpet & bedding. Some light bulbs burned out. All were CFL's which I use at home but these were very low wattage & room was dimly lit. Husband wanted to watch NFL draft but that particular cable channel was NOT working. Called front desk. Clerk said it was 'out' for some reason but could not remedy. Other stations working fine. Surprised to find iron & ironing board in Days Inn. Had in room coffee. Didn't use it. The bedroom had a very weak floor. Seriously! When you walked across the room at the foot of the bed, the floor vibrated & squeaked like an old wooden floor which shook the TV armoire. Later while trying to sleep, we could hear the people on the 3rd floor walking around. The walls were paper thin & we could hear people in other rooms. The bathroom was a bit shabby. The wallpaper in there was dirty & the grout in the tile was dingy. The breakfast was an ordinary continental breakfast...muffins, bagels, pastry, 4 kinds of cereal, bread for toast, coffee, juice. I can't remember if it had a waffle maker or not. We were looking for a low cost place to sleep & got it but I would not stay again. I'd rather pay a little more & get something a bit nicer. We stayed at a Fairfield Inn in VA on the return trip & it was worth $20 more to stay there.
