We were so tired from being in an ER all night, plus it was too hot to sleep in the car. had very litle money..we changed rooms once, because there was hair on the sheets. nasty hair. In the new room there was fresh dirt on the sheets. we slept in the cleaner bed. the dirtiest place ever. we left at 7pm because it was too nasty to enjoy the evening. Would NOT refund any of our money, but they drive a mercedes.

The American Inn Hotel in Hurricane, WV is a health hazard...down right NASTY!!! I was very disappointed! The wall under the sink was falling off, the floors were gross, the room stunk bad, the beds were completely broking down, and to top it all off...there was an unknown substance in the bathtub. I got my money back and went up the road to Red Roof Inn. It was a lot better!

The wireless internet does not work properly. The rooms are dirty. The telephone lines to make outgoing calls do not work. Apparently the owner does not care about the property. Stay somewhere else.

I have stayed at a lot of places, and am not an especially picky person, but this hotel was disgusting. The floors were sticky, there were mold spots in the bathroom, and the room stank. The room was cheap, and there is plenty of parking, but I would stay away from this place.

Hi, we were traveling through west virgina in nov. and saw a sign in Hurricane w.v for a nights stay at american inn so we decied to stay a nite there .we have stayed with you several times before and were very happy with the rooms,but this one was alot different. we checked in nd went to our room and what a site it was.The place was really really dirty ,dust everywhere and there was 2 tvs in the room and neither one worked,and the wall under the sink was falling down and the floors hadent been vacumed in quiite some time .so we went back to the desk and told them we wanted our money back.and oh what chore that was .we were talking through a peice of plexy glass with holes drilled in it and could not hear her and we could not understand her at all.finally we got a statement with a note saying she had cancelled our room. we will have to wait and see if we got our money back when we get our card statement.i thought id let you know cuz this cant be good for your chain . It was budget inn and american inn togather.the price was 68.00 which is a good price but not for that room. we are not people to complain but we had to say something.Im sorry for complaining but i needed to do it. thanx
