Average motel with good location and nice enough staff. No fridge or microwave in room though my brother's had one.
The clerk at check out refused to honor our AAA discount though I reserved the room weeks in advance and notified them that I wanted the discount. We arrived a day early after calling from Columbus after a 14 hour transatlantic flight and they were able to give us a room but would not honor the discount even though I had made the original reservation with that request. The clerk said that since I had not asked for the discount when we arrived early she could not give it to us. Frankly we we were dead on our feet after flying all day and driving from Columbus and I barely remember checking in. At check out she said that their computer system would not allow her to change anything even though I had the card and had requested the discount at the time of reservation. I will contact AAA for a clarification. Perhaps not asking for the discount at the early check in disqualified us but I would have honored it as the "gotcha" experience has insured that we won't stay here again.
We often visit family in Huntington and the Holiday Inn at the mall is a much nicer and usually cheaper property if you don't mind the extra drive. The Super 8 on the hill above the Ramada is also nice enough and quieter.
