A previous review of this property peaked my vegan interest. I was not disappointed! Our gracious hosts, Chuck & Pat, served up homemade offerings that were delicious and plentiful. My omnivore husband and teenaged sons ate heartily as well. The bedrooms and adjoining baths are cozyily comfortable and clean.

Numerous attractions are within an hour's drive of the property, the highlight of which is the gigantic Green Bank Telescope - a must-see for science buffs, fans of "ET" and kids of all ages. You can also take a day-trip or overnighter on the Cass Railroad, marvel at the fall foliage, or dip your toes in a cranberry bog.

Green Bank is the perfect two-day getaway and Sweet Thyme in is the place to stay!

We chose WV as a travel destination specifically to stay at this in, and it was WONDERFUL. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was fabulous. My kids are still talking about it. The innkeepers (Pat and Chuck) were VERY helpful -- the great thing about inns versus hotels is that innkeepers will help you plan an itinerary for each day. We did SO much more than we would have known to do, and they gave us a lunch to take with us and hand-drawn maps to get us where we were going.

And every night we had really great interesting conversations with the other people staying at the inn.

I just cannot say enough about this place. If you're thinking of planning a getaway, STAY HERE!!! It was a great experience.
