I recommend folks staying at this hotel. The owner and his family were very nice. The hotel is clean and if there is anything you need you can ask and they will bring to you. i stayed there on June 4-10. This was for my honeymoon.

Our stay at Country River inn was very good. Rick and Louis were friendly and attentive. Paulie (their dog) was also friendly. I was a bit skeptical at first with the outside of the bed and breakfast looking like an elementary school. Once we walked in, we immediately noticed how clean it was inside. The room was cozy and clean (like everything else) and the internet connection was super fast. We were more than satisfied and would come back again.

My mom and I stayed here for two nights. We were ziplining with Class VI one of the days (something everyone should do - it was amazing) and the Country River Inn was only 5 minutes away from it. You do not have a view of the gorge, but are literally five minutes away. The owners were very friendly, and the place was very clean. Breakfast is your basic continental. There is no bathtub in the rooms, only showers. I will definately stay here anytime I'm in that area.

We agree with previous reviewers ... the Country River Inn is very clean and comfortable and the owners are quite friendly. Our stay compared favorably to our next one at Hawk's Nest Lodge. The advantages to the Inn are: it is closer to town and some excellent hikes, the rooms are newer, and it has a hot tub. The breakfast wasn't quite as good as that at Hawk's Nest, and there isn't a view of the gorge, but the value was good and we would definitely stay there again.
