The good - Innkeeper was very friendly and helpful; the rooms were clean. The not so good - the place was a bit run down. The linoleum in our bathroom floor was old and turning yellow. The outside seating cushions were very dirty. On the back porch was a wooden barrel with green slimy water in it. Also, smoking (including cigar smoke) is allowed on the deck. As one of the other guest smoked his cigar the smell made its way inside.

“Great beginning for southern trip!”
Bernie is a great host and a great cook. Wonderful breakfast! Bernie told us about Tamarack down the road on I-79. A great place to visit. We enjoyed Bernie's hospitality!

“Outstanding Stay”
A nice, quaint and historic home with lots of charm and character. Very comfortable with an excellent innkeeper. At this Bed and Breakfast, there are no shortcuts when it comes to the breakfast. Be sure to inquire about the apple french toast. I tried to have a small portion but couldn't resist and had to go back for more, it's excellent. The home is located in the middle of Fayetteville and within walking distance to anywhere in the town. Great stay, would definitely recommend.

“Home away from home”
First experience in a bed and breakfast. We had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Grand Suite that was spacious and clean. Bernie was very friendly and made us feel at home immediately. Breakfast was great.
