Deerfield Village is under new management. The new management team is terrific. They put visitor satisfaction first. The condos are lovely and fully equipped. We really enjoyed the warm, cozy fireplace. Firewood was provided and located right on our front porch. The scenery is beautiful. A perfect 4 season resort. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a nice romantic weekend, and it was truely worth it. Friendly staff, nice clean cottages, and with working fire places. Built in a perfect location. I highly recommend this place if you want a nice romantic getaway.

The condo we stayed in was comfortable, nicely decorated and we appreciated being able to take our dog . The
provided firewood was a great idea, and we used the
fireplace every night. We also enjoyed the notebook that
was provided with restaurant info.
During check in we were totally ignored by the two front desk personnel for at least 10 minutes. When we called
the 2nd evening with a complaint of no heat on the
main floor of the condo, we were told we should have called earlier (before 5 pm we called close to 4pm) and would have to wait until the next day for someone to look at it. No offer to move somewhere with heat and there were plenty of empty condos. We had been out of the condo all am and turned the heat on just before we left for the day. So only realized it was a problem late in the day. Apparently that didn't matter. But this is not the fault of the owner and they did have everything comfortably furnished and is very clean.

The Deefield Village Resort is a cluster of 4 unit townhouses nestled in the trees of Davis WV. Our unit was modern, clean, spacious, and well maintained. It had a beautifu deck and lots of windows. The property also has a pool, tennis court, and restaurant. The service was outstanding. Although some units had families and we were a couple, everyone was quiet, polite, and well mannered. The area is called Canaan Valley and is a perfect spot for summer or winter getaways. It is one of the highest valleys east of the Mississippi River and therefore has great skiing in the winter and beautiful 75 degree days in the summer. The hiking was terrific as is the mountain music, crafts, and unspoiled beauty of WV.
