“Clean, comfortable, convenient!”

Our room was great- loved the bathroom logistics where the sink is separated from the bathroom. TV was new flat screen, great channel selection. beds were very comfortable.

Internet connections was FAST- we had just stayed at another hotel where we had to pay for our connection and the Sleep Inn's connection was 10 times faster, literally, and free.

Free breakfast included at a reasonable price.

“Nice but pricey.”

Typical Sleep Inn with the unique shower. Conveniently located off i-64 west of Charleston but a little confusing to get to from the interstate. You have to be careful that you don't make a wrong turn and get back on I-64 going east. Located in a traveler-friendly area, right behind Cracker Barrel with a bunch of other restaurants nearby. Very clean, comfy beds, microwave and refrigerator, wi-fi worked perfectly. Good breakfast.

My only complaint is the price. It's expensive. Even with my AAA discount, I ended up paying more than $100 (taxes included) for one night. I needed to stay at a Choice Hotel to earn a free night under a promotion, and have stayed at the Sleep Inn on the other side of town in the past which is a bit cheaper, but wanted to stay on the west side of town so i wouldn't get caught up in the morning rush hour traffic when I left out. So this was pretty much my only choice. Yes, it's nice. But $100 nice? At least my previous Choice Hotel stay was only about $50 so the average for two nights was $75 and I will get a free night out of the deal.

It's a nice facility, for sure, but not sure I'd stay here again because of the price.

“out of the way of the hustle and bustle...”

the motel I normally stay in in this area was booked as was the one I use as a backup so I had to find another for the night...I have driven by this place thousands of times and didnt know it was here...I was quite surprised when I found it...great big parking lot to get a semi into...restaurants nearby....staff was great.. room clean...bed comfy...great value for the price...will stay here again next time I am in the area and in need of a room....everything was great except I had ask for a late check out wich was not a problem with the front desk, I put my do not disturb sign on door and at 1100am housekeeping was knocking on my door...there needs to be more communication with people here..this has happened at other places and usually really irritates me to the point of never returning ...but luckily I was already up and it wasnt a big ussue this time...all in all it was a great stay...nice and quiet for $79.00...

“Very Nice”

I stay at the Sleep Inn Cross Lanes at least 4-5 weeks out of the year for business. The Sleep Inn is a very nice hotel for the price. The rooms are always clean, comfortable and quiet. I really enjoy the free continental breakfasts which include eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles and more. There is free coffee 24/7 in the main lobby and their WiFi is always stable, (also free). My only minor complaint is the televisions as they are older models...flat screens would be a welcome upgrade. The hotels location is a little hard to find but that is no fault of the hotel. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay for the business traveler or the occasional weekend getaway, (it's very close to the casino and racetrack).

Positive:
- Clean Rooms
- Comfortable beds
- Quiet hotel
- Great breakfast
- Free WiFi

Negative:
- Location is difficult to find if you're not from the area
- Outdated televisions

“Very Nice Hotel..but a bit pricey for the type.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2010

I stayed at this hotel in January with a group of friends for a "friend reunion - girls nite". The staff is top rate. Very friendly. The hotel is very clean and this includes lobby, hallways, breakfast area and the room. They had us in a handicap accessible room on the first floor. Very large room and fantastic bathroom. We did not need the handycap accessible room but it is laid out perfectly for someone who would. Amazing really. The main praise would be the safety. As a group of girls we all felt safe there and that goes a long way. Parking lot is well lit and even though the hotel in not centrally located we all felt safe!

I only have two complaints and they are minor and would not keep me from staying there again.
1) the hallway smells a little smokey..it is my understanding that smoking is allowed in certain rooms (floors) of the hotel. I wish they would reconsider as the smell does migrate a bit to the other areas. I am from the area which has essentially gone smoke free so it was unusual to be in a business where you could smell it so strongly. We were right by the exit door so people may have been standing in the stairwell smoking... so hopefully security watches for that.
2) It is very pricy for the type of hotel. A good price for that hotel would be $99 a nite, trust me it was more, nearly double. You could easily stay at the embassy suites or marriot for the amount you pay here.
