This combination motel, restaurant, bar, retirement home and dentist office is conveniently located in town. The restaurant food was good, reasonably priced and the servers were pleasant, attentive and well trained.
My colleagues and I travel alot throughout the country on business and this was easily the most unpleasant lodging experience I've had in many years. With the exception of one young lady, all the front desk personnel were lacking in people skills or were outright rude. On one occasion, it took the kitchen workers over fifteen minutes to find the desk clerk! Rooms were clean but sometimes smelly with water pipes rattling under the floors throughout the night. Poor soundproofing meant disturbances in the hallways, other rooms and noise from the bar were clearly audible. I could easily hear music from the first floor bar in my second floor room. Any water usage in the motel drains off the hot water so be prepared for a few cold shocks when taking a shower. Some washcloths were nothing more than torn rags and should have been replaced. The first morning, the promised continental breakfast was nowhere in sight - the desk clerk set up the food in the closed restaurant area and kept the lights turned off! The second morning, the above mentioned friendly desk clerk had everything properly prepared. The third morning, the bowl of mixed fruit was fermented and inedible. Thankfully, we finished our work a day early and left town...
