This historical property, which is owned by a couple who does renovation and interior design, has been beautifully renovated. The room and bath were a delight. The inn is located a block from downtown. an easy stroll to shop and dine. Breakfasts were wonderful. Nancy is a delightful hostess and a wonderful cook. We look forward to returning.
The only downside to the this inn is its proximity to the fire station which insists on sounding a siren whenever they get a call to respond. We understand that the town is trying to address this issue. While we did wake up a couple of nights, we were able to drift back to sleep. Considering the smallness of the town, I imagine that the siren can be heard anywhere one would stay.
We enjoyed two dinners at Panorama at the Peak restaurant which is 3 miles from town. Best salmon we have ever eaten. Enjoyed a soak in the baths at the national park bathhouse in the middle of town. Also enjoyed a spa treatment at Atasia. And be sure to visit Lion's Lair for great cards and gifts. Berkeley Springs is a funky little mountain town with fun things to do and interesting people to see.
