When we arrived we were greeted promptly but my Privilege status couldn't be located. The room was fine - not great, and not the standard of a normal Comfort Inn, but OK. However, outside the room, in the hallways, was a gross smell. First I thought someone was smoking on a non-smoking floor, but it didn't change. Whatever it was, and whatever they were covering up, needs to be fixed because it was nauseating.
The faucet at the bathroom sink only gave us mildly warm water, and the bathtub needed to be turned almost all the way up to be hot. When I mentioned this very late at night they said it was only our room and offered me a maintenance person but I refused because it was too late - and asked that they look at this when we checked out.
The breakfast is one of the worst I've seen. Very few choices, almost empty, and the milk was warm. Most places give you a choice of 2% or skim milk but here there was only the warm 2%. The lady working there was making breakfast for herself, I think, but did stop to get me some fresh milk when I complained, and she was very polite.
They don't put the receipt under your door so you have to go to the front desk to check out. The lady there was very nice, and very helpful with all my questions, but there were too many other things I didn't enjoy.
I often have stayed at Comfort Inns because of their value and consistency but will now be much more hesitant and check out other options because I don't want a repeat of this. The corportate office really should make some changes here because past experience and word of mouth are very important, and for this hotel most people are saying it is b-a-d.
