I decided to give this hotel a try mainly because it was cheaper than the others nearby. I got what I paid for and realized I'd rather spend a few extra bucks for a room that I felt more comfortable in. I cancelled my reservation for my stay the following weekend and went elsewhere.
The signs for the hotel entrance were large enough but it certainly helped to know to look for the Dairy Queen out front. Unfortunately that Dairy Queen has a drive-thru and it was very busy on a Saturday night so there was constant noise from vehicles. Being on a main road, you also hear the regular traffic.
As other travelers stated, the bed was definitely not a queen size and if I would've had to share it, I would not have been happy. The room itself was clean enough as was the bathroom. Toiletries included 2 little shampoos and 2 bars of generic soap.
The air conditioner was another issue. There was one temperature and one fan speed which was cold and high no matter what you set the dial to. It was so loud it drowned out the TV so I turned it off. Luckily it wasn't a hot night.
My personal preference is to stay in a room with doors that lead to a hallway on the inside and this was not the case here. I was on the ground floor with my car parked outside the door and could hear people talking/laughing as they went by until well after midnight. It creeped me out to have some strange men hanging over the railing on the floor above, watching me get things out of my car, going for ice, etc.
I was anxious to get out of there in the morning so I didn't bother looking at the continental breakfast. There was a coffee pot in the room but I decided against using it.
