They allowed me to check in super early on the date of my arrival at no additional cost. They were cleaning the floors in the entire hotel so it was a bit busy around the hotel. The staff was very kind and assisted me several times. My only real complaint would be that it is difficult to navigate where to go based on the signs and my gps. Having the mall and food right next door was a real bonus! I would stay here again!

This is an excellent location--had a very nice room--Breakfast was not much--may want to eat elsewhere--less than typical continental breakfast. Very friendly hotel staff.

My mom, sister, and myself always go shopping on black Friday (day after Thanksgiving).. when we booked this place we thought we had a great motel, seemed cleaned, had good ratings, and was right by the Barboursville Mall. WOW....WE WERE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WRONG.. RIGHT WHEN WE WALKED INTO THE MOTEL!!!!!!!!! First... the guy with nasty long hair was a total JERK at the front desk. He didn't know how to work the credit card machine. KNOWING...we were going shopping the next day, we had money on our cards and cash. He swiped my mom's card said it was declined.. swiped my sisters card.. declined.. swiped my card.. declined. We were so upset and didn't understand why NONE of our cards were working. He even said out loud "YOU CAN'T STAY HERE IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT" So angry we were.. we had some cash and paid for our room. Once we got to our room, the room looked ok.. but the toilet was stopped up and we could not use the bathroom without it over flowing.. We called the front desk once again.. and he said he couldn’t do much since it was late, but the “workers” would be there tomorrow morning when we were to check out... I thought there would be someone there all the time.. it’s not like it was in the middle of the night.. it was around 8 that evening.. Once we were able to calm down a bit; we all called our credit card companies.. guess what.. we all had a charge for the room to our cards. We called down to the front desk and he said there was nothing he could do.. We were sooooo mad!! We FINALLY got the # to the manager/owner of the hotel. He was at home enjoying his holiday with family..he told us..which was fine.. but we wanted to let him know about the charges, toilet and the RUDE RUDE RUDE guy at the front desk. He told us he would try and deal with it tomorrow.. and we wanted something done then. About 3 hours later, the manager called us back. He refunded our cash back for the room for "all the trouble" but said he would have to work with the credit cards later. Ok, that was fine.. ANYWAYS.. to try and make a LONG ONE NIGHT STORY SHORT..a month later we FINALLY got our refunds all back on our cards. Even though it was like pulling teeth to finally get it returned to our credit cards. WE WOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL NOR WOULD I EVER RECOMMEND IT!!! WOULDN'T EVEN RECOMMEND IT TO MY WORSE ENEMY!!!!! For the long hair guy at the front desk.. hopefully he was fired..or quit.. or something.. but if you do decide to stay here.. if you see him..JUST LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.s. DO NOT EVER EVER EVER STAY HERE!! YUCK!!!! I think I would rather stay in a roach hotel then here!!!!

Visit this area about 2 -3 times a year and always stay at this Hotel. This past visit we had to wait 10-15 minutes to check in while 3 employees standing at the service desk were trying to check in one family who had 2 rooms with reservations.?????? Never did figure out what the difficultly could of been.
Noticed that the cleanliness of the room wasn't up to the standard that they use to have.
The bed and box springs were dirty with previous spills of food. I decided I didn't want to look any further for any additonal stains. I think it is time they renovate. We willl be staying elsewhere the next time we visit.
