“Great Staff”

Stayed here for 2+ weeks.
Staff were great from the front desk to the wait staff. Rooms were clean and large with microwave and bar fridge. Breakfast had all you could ask for from fresh fruit to made to order eggs and omelets. Hot maple syrup for the waffles.
The American Grill was a great place to eat after a long day with good food and competitive pricing.
I look forward to returning in January.
Joe the owner made you feel at home.
Recommend this hotel if staying in the area.

“Best option for lodging in Yakima”

We stay here often when visiting family in Yakima and have never had an issue.

“Great Hotel - loved the location”

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Yakima for 2 nights.
We had a corner room that was very large. We looked onto the main street.
The room seemed recently updated. There was a nice area with a microwave and a fridge and a few shelves for our wine and snacks.
The bathroom was very nice.
The staff was probably the most impressive of all... Everyone greeted us with a smile and a "hello". The front desk was friendly and helpful when we asked for dinner recommendations as well as other information on the area.
We didn't eat in the restaurant but the kitchen staff went out of their way to provide our coffees to go when the main area had already closed down.
The hotel is within walking distance of many nice restaurants and has a wine store next door.
We will return and recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Yakima.

What a great review of the Hilton Garden Inn Yakima! I am so happy that you found our service and accommodations worth recommending to others. I do believe that our team members are the greatest asset that we have at our property and am very grateful that you took the time to share your experience. I agree, we do have a lovely wine shop adjacent to our front entrance and many great wine tasting rooms within walking distance. Throughout the year we have fun wine tasting events in Yakima, so with over 300 days of sunshine per year.....I hope you will be back soon.

“Solid choice, great location”

We only stayed here a couple of nights for business, but the same road warrior experience is found at this hotel as most of the HGIs.

Rooms are fine and could use a little updating, but are not old. The bathroom was spacious and there was good water pressure. I'm always impressed that this chain of hotel has the softest towels of any of the others I've stayed in.

My small complaints were: I drink a lot of coffee and the coffee wasn't in the lobby 24 hours (it was available at breakfast and later in the day you had to ask the restaurant and usually wait a while until one was brought out). I also mentioned to the staff one morning that the self serve coffee was out of cups and the front desk person said, "Oh. Okay." and then proceeded to go on with her paperwork. I guess she wasn't planning to bring any more out at 7:30am.

The second problem was that during our stay the underground garage parking door was being serviced and it was a challenge to find a spot in the evening. It was supposed to take an afternoon and ended up not being resolved until just before we left 2 days later.

Other than the great breakfast buffet, we didn't eat in the hotel restaurant or use the gym. The location is very central and the staff is by and large fine, but not overly exceptional.

If you like knowing exactly what you're getting by staying at a Hilton Garden Inn, this will do just fine.

Please accept my apologies for the challenges that you experienced during your stay with us. There are no excuses for the lack of service when requesting additional coffee and coffee cups and I have personally met with our team members to ensure that something of this nature does not happen again in the future. I am disappointed that you felt our service was not "overly exceptional" and can assure you that we will continue to strive to improve in needed areas.

We do provide complimentary coffee in the lobby during the hours that are required per the Hilton Garden Inn brand standards. Although we do not keep the coffee service up in the lobby 24 hours, we do provide complimentary "to go" coffee in the restaurant. We don't have as many people drinking coffee during the evening hours and want to ensure that we serve the most fresh and best product for our guests.

I see that your stay was back in October and we did have the garage door being replaced at that time. We were in the hands of the installer and they did assure us that it would be up and running but they ran into some problems when they were installing so we were at their mercy. I appreciate your understanding and apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience and for choosing to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn when traveling to Yakima. I can assure you that I have utilized your experience as a training tool to improve our services for you and all of our guests future stays. Your satisfaction is very important to us!

“The best hotel in Yakima”

This was our second stay at the HGI in Yakima and we were pleased once again. The staff is friendly and helpful in all areas from the front desk to the restaurant. We had a wonderful brunch with made to order omelettes, eggs, and french toast (complimentary through Hilton Honors), and the chef was eager to make anything you could imagine. The staff also put on the football game for us when we asked.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and it is nice having a mini fridge. Parking was free, as was the business center (great for printing our boarding passes). The fitness center is small but well maintained. Some free weights would be a nice addition.

The warm cookies at check-in and complimentary coffee each morning was a great plus. The gift shop next door, Stems, has some wonderful items inside. Be sure to check it out.
