We stayed here on the first night of our Tacoma/Seattle trip. The location is really nice. It sits right on the water and within walking distance to several restaurants and a very popular place for pedestrian walking. We sat on the pier and watched the walkers along with their children and dogs. The fact that we were there on the warmest day of the year wasn't bad either :) We reserved a King Suite and based on other reviews, I sent a separate email requesting a second floor room. I received a reply saying they would note my request. At check-in I reminded them of my request, but was told there were no 2nd floor rooms available, but was told the room I was assigned was a very nice room. Yes, the room was nice, neat and very clean. The pier was right outside our window and anyone walking by could look right in. The one big issue we had was with noise. Particularly the water pipes. OMG, anytime a toilet was flushed or water turned on above us, it sounded like a rainstorm down our walls (not exaggerating). I woke up several times during the night with LOUD running water down the walls through the pipes. Also, people talking in the halls sounded as if they were in the room with us. For $190 with tax per night, I expect a much better night sleep. It was enough to turn me off. My advice is don't stay here unless you are guaranteed a second floor room.
