“Quarryman Hall was beautiful and peaceful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2011

We stayed at the Quarryman Hall, a property associated with Hotel de Haro. Had a beautiful room on the second floor with a view of the harbor across the street from our covered balcony. There was wine and chocolates waiting for us on our arrival. We bought some delicious Washington cheese and crackers at the little store on the corner and watched the ships come in an out.
Gas fireplace, huge bathroom, mini fridge, all the amenities. I was concerned about noise but the harbor closes down by 10 and it was quiet all night, most people sleep aboard their boats and seem to be early birds. There is a spa but we didn't get to try it.

Room Tip: Most have some view of the harbor.

“No mod cons”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2011

We stayed in this funny old hotel for the Roche Harbor 4th July celebrations.
Our friends had rented a house on the hill so I stayed here with my 2 kids.
The rooms are very old and not very comfortable , but the shared bathroom was fine.
I wouldn't stay here for a romantic getaway or to hang out in your room.
My son had a foldaway bed that collapsed and the staff were very good and gave me a gift voucher for the store.
The 4th July games were so much fun and Roche Harbor is so beautiful that the room didn't really bother me. If the weather was awful it would be terrible.

“we stayed at the Mc. Millien suite , the view was nice, the service very bad...”

The Mc Millian Suite #161 , has a nice view. but very loud music and noise all night long ... We arrived Friday , They had an events. Friday & Saturday , the music was very loud during the week-end...
The food is very mediocre the salmon farmed... not wild.
The so called spa is noisy and terribly mangament. The manager refused to allowed a service dog in... nedless to say service dogs get into hospitals . The place is not a spa, neither in the league of Spas such as The Ritz in Paris...by all means I dont' recommend the spa...The managment needs to train their spa personel in real spas such Bali or Thailand... there novices and have no clue how to give a facial or masage.

Room Tip: The hotel is old, and very over rated..

“Amazing location,view,history,and value.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 February 2011

My favorite hotel in the northwest. I especially enjoy the Mcmillen suite. Friendly faces, amazing historical and educational value. Not for the ignorant pscemistic average city folk. If you enjoy beauty class and an amazing adventure to the islands this is your spot :)

“Please be aware of what you are booking!”

Our not so lovely stay consisted of two twin beds and a communal bathroom! This place is horrible! Where should I start?? We stayed at this hotel for one night since we were in town for a wedding. Disappointed and disgusted are a few words that come to mind when describing the Hotel de Haro. First, when we checked in the lovely woman at the front desk informed us that we had booked a room with two twin beds (probably not the most accomodating for a married couple seeking a romantic get-away while in town for a wedding). When we entered our room we saw that there was no bathroom and the room was in need of some major updating. If we had to stay here more than one night. then I would have cancelled the reservation and taken the late cancellation fee gladly. We just feel as though the woman at the front desk- Debi, should have specified the ammenities or lack there of when we booked our accomodations back in April for this October wedding!
