Extended Stay Deluxe Seattle-Renton, 1150 Oakesdale Ave SW, Renton, WA 98055 is the hotel I am writing about...the reason I say this is that I feel the negative reviews left on Trip Advisor were NOT from this hotel !!! They surely must have made a mistake if you have read the reviews and then visited this hotel....

By the way, I found the reviews on TripAdvisor AFTER I booked this hotel and based on the reviews, I was actually scared to death to check in, and I was about to cancel my reservation...but in the past I have read negative comments about other hotels that were very negative...and I found, perhaps, to be written with spite. so I went ahead with the reservation...and boy am I glad I did....

This is what I found upon check in: A very well kept hotel grounds...A very friendly woman, Alondra I think her name was, full of smiles and information, at the check-in desk...a very clean lobby, elevator, and halls leading to all rooms..we were on the 3rd floor. Upon entering our room, WHICH WAS LARGE, I had expected the worst and was prepared AND LOOKING, so I did the white glove test and bed check...glove is still white and the bed was absolutely perfect and clean, as well as the whole room, from the bathroom to the kitchen and living room...We could not find one thing wrong and BOY DID WE LOOK ( we looked only because of all the bad reviews here)...and if you want to know if we liked what we saw? Well, we had booked 4 days and the next morning ( today ) I booked 3 more days. THAT IS HOW MUCH WE WERE IMPRESSED WITH THIS HOTEL.

and based on the bad reviews, I found no black hairs in the bed, no bloody bandages, no sign of being a hotel rented by the hour, no dive, nothing broken, everything working, nice carpet and flooring, friendly staff, adequate dishes/pans/silverware in kitchen for 4 people...everything was perfect!!! In fact, it was more then we bargained for...GREAT VALUE! WE FELT VERY LUCKY!!

Internet was free with our room, and it was fast, also. We have two laptops and we hooked up with ease from the password given by Alondra, and for all those technical people out there, at this moment it is running at: download speed 0.94 MB upload 0.25 MB... that is not bad ( speedtest.net)...not sure about streaming videos but we are looking at Youtube with no problems whatsoever. We didn't pay anything for this internet service.

We found a big swivel based TV with a VCR under cabinet to play movies..that was nice! In Kitchen: Full size frig, nice microwave, big sink for doing dishes, LOTS of cabinets, nice 4 burner full size stove, and towels in kitchen.....and plenty in the bathroom for two people. it is true, there was no shampoo and no paper towels, but hey...so what! I had my own shampoo, as I always have, so no big thing. There was a coffee pot, coffee, and assorted sugars, and I figure I can just use the dishtowels and dishcloth for clean ups!

The comment about these rooms being rented by the hour was very inaccurate...we found one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in... everything from carpet to walls and furniture. My white glove test was proof...AND THIS HOTEL IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A DIVE, OR 'EW'... Extended Stay Deluxe Renton is a wonderful facility that is VERY reasonably price ....We have been on the road, in hotels, since January 6th, and this is by far the most wonderful stay of this journey!! It's so comfortable and cozy! ( Love the recliner and the sofa bed for a little extra pampering in the evenings as you watch TV). Our room was exactly as advertised and pictured...loved the colors..and I love this desk I'm typing this from...sweet!

I also have read about how rude the people are here at the hotel... NOT OUR EXPERIENCE. We did have contact with someone else besides Alondra (who was so nice)...his name was Christian. I called down today for something and I was met with a very pleasant greeting and a very professional, friendly man on the other end of the phone. He was most helpful and sweet at all times, and answered my questions in a very professional, friendly, manner... Thank you Christian. Alondra and Christian are surely representative of how all the staff treat you at this hotel. ( I would say both of these employees are a real asset to this hotel chain).

GREAT JOB EVERYONE!! We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone!!! Great access to 405 also and I-5...great location.
