This motel has fairly expensive rates for what they actually provide. The outside looks fairly well kept, but the rooms are really lacking. Our room, while being clean, smelled terribly of unwashed underarms, YUCK! Also, all ammenities provided are the cheapest that you can imagine: cheap soap, cheap and yucky coffee, thin pillows, thin towels, and on and on! Also, customers are not charged a one time dog fee, instead it is per night, the area that you are to walk your dog in is covered in dog crap, garbage and cigarette butts.. Even my pooch isn't accustomed to that kind of filth!!! The breakfast that is provided is not filling or plentiful, no eggs, no yogurt, just sugary muffins, etc. One more thing, if you have a dog, you will automatically be on the 1st floor, with no ocean view.

Thank you for sharing your opinions with us. The housekeeping staff inspects each room before arrival and we are glad to hear that you were happy with your cleanliness of your room. Depending upon how the air is blowing we have low tide or paper mill smell(s) that do linger over our way and are deeply sorry that had to endure such an aroma and bad timing. It’s one of the odors no matter how long you live or visit in Port Townsend, you don’t get used to, but learn to accept the tidal water, sea life and paper mill does offer a great many things to and for our town. We do offer coffee, tea, hot chocolate different from your in room 24 hours a day 7 days a week in our lobby. Our pet friendly area is located between the hotel and garden center. We also allow the pet(s) upon the first floor, as some of our guests are highly allergic and the first floor allows outside access and a lot of our guests find it favorable. Our first floor rooms do have views and it can be requested when making a reservation. The pet area is cleaned and serviced by a contractor and out sourced regularly. We do have a conveniently located park “Kah Tai Lagoon” city run and pet friendly just across the street from the hotel that is 21 acres of undeveloped land. It’s the second largest storm water basin in the city with on-site restrooms and parking.
