“Great Value!”

I booked this hotel for a holiday weekend as it was one of the lowest price (Ok - THE lowest priced) hotel in PT, and others were 2X. So I was a bit nervous about what I was getting into, but hey - in this economy.... Well, I was very pleasently surprised. The room was VERY clean and comfortable. The reception was friendly and they even called me earlier in the day to let me know that if I wanted to come by early they coud upgrade my room and check me in early. I declined as it was first come first serve on the upgrade, and I wasn't going to be in town until late. I thought that was great though, and they made special provisions for my late arrival. The room was totally quiet, and the location was great. Just a couple blocks from the ferry and downtown PT as well as on the water. I would definitely stay here again. The only knock is that is more of a 3 start joint given the "dated" of the property/furnishings (hello 1992!) - but again totally clean and nice. If you're looking for 4-5 star then that is a different category - and a different price range completely.

Room Tip: Water view room is nice!

“Will be there again for sure!”

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The ice machine was down, and the owner was so gracious he went to the store and bought both a cooler and ice for us! The room was huge, the view was wonderful. I was amazed to have that view for the reasonable price. This is not a swanky joint, I didn't expect it to be, nor did I expect it to be so comfortable. The room had a mini-fridge, a microwave and a kitchenette type counter and again, it was very large. Having a small deck outside was an added bonus. If it hadn't been so cold, went in November, we could have easily walked to town and the attractions. I definitely recommend this to anyone, just don't expect silk sheets and crystal lamps. Will go again as soon as I can!!

Room Tip: ask for the water side view, and the bigger room.

“About as expected”

Made this reservation after finding everything else in town full (major craft show and Wooden Boat weekend both downtown). I didn't have high expectations, but everything turned out okay. Staff was pleasant at check in, and ground floor room was larger than I would have expected with a nice water view.Furniture is rather dated, but bathroom was clean and the shower was great. No problems with noise during our stay. Overall, pricey but so is everything in this quaint town.We weren't there for TV or WiFi, so can't comment on those.

“"Worth It"”

I've been visiting Port Townsend for last 2 years because of business and I've stayed each hotel in that town. and i never go anywhere since I found this small standard size Motel.
and when ever i go I always stay in far corner North end of building.
Spectacular view, very clean, Staff is very Help full.sufficient speed Wi-5, worth each penny I always pay.
even they gave me discount.
Experience about one hotel starts from check inn. once you don't get what you want and you start complaining about everything.
but i have never had bad experience with this motel everything is smooth.when ever I'm in town I always call if I'm early. As because this motel has 11:00am Check out time and check inn time 3:00 pm. if I'm earlier than 3:00pm I always call and make sure is there any possibility to get the room.
But if you show up at 10.30am without communication then it will lead you to ?????? and you start complaining about everything.
It doesn't matter what car you drive or from where you are coming, you will find same service from beginning to end.
I love it there...in short "Worth It"

Room Tip: check online about property and always call.

“The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

The good news about our two night stay at The Aladdin Motor Inn is that it is located right on the water (Puget Sound) - you can hear the waters lapping against the shore when you open the window. For the price (which is still pricey but not nearly as much as several places nearby) that is a luxury. The hotel has created a picnic and outdoor lounge space on the waterfronts for guests to use outside in addition to their balconies on the bay if they are on second or third floor. . The desk folks are friendly and helpful. And the room was sizable and clean (though whomever made up the room after our first day's stay did not empty the trash cans which were already full.) The bad news is that we found two serious problems with the media connections at the motel. Cable choice is VERY limited and generally did not include things most people would be keen on watching (no PBS, no sports channels, for example) and the internet connection is very, very iffy and seems to time out after about fifteen minutes. The ugly is that our room was infested with ants. When I mentioned this to the desk clerk, asking for a different room, he said it was a problem they were having generally and were "working on." Hence, no new room but neither did he offer my money back so we could go to another motel. P.S. I note that the directions given on the website for how to get to therey are incorrect. It says stay on Highway 20 implying the inn is on the highway, It isn't - it is one block off Highway 20 (Washington Street) on "Water Street" and since there are no signs for it nor is it necessarily visible from the highway, it is easy to drive past it.
