My husband and I just stayed Friday and Saturday. The house is a true 125 year old beauty. We stayed in the master suite king size canopy bed was exceptionally comfy, the room was very spacious, with a claw foot tub as well as a separate shower. The inn keepers Nathan and Cindy were extremely nice and was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the house as well as the Port Townsend area. The communal breakfast served each morning. Was very very tasty. All and all, we shall have many more stays at the Old Consulate inn. It is a must stay, when you visit the Port Townsend area.

Room tip: Must stay in the Master suite!. All the other rooms are just as comfy. But partial to the master suite😊

We live in Seattle and enjoy as many getaways as we can to Port Townsend. We try different accommodations when we go to Port Townsend, but after our stay at the Old Consulate Inn we believe our search for the perfect place has ended. Incredibly authentic Victorian with attention to every detail. Extremely comfortable, clean and friendly! Our breakfast was five star and our host were the best! Remarkably friendly people! We have been fortunate enough to travel the world and with no hesitation we would recommend the Old Consulate.

Room tip: I'm not sure if any of the rooms would be uncomfortable in any respect. Very quiet location, yet close to downtown.

Now we are retired we enjoy travelling a lot, especially driving down around the Hood Canal, over to Whidbey Island and home to Vancouver, B.C. This was our first overnight in Port Townsend and an excellent decision. The Old Consulate Inn is more than anything I've read in these reviews or that I can write. If you want to experience serenity, comfort, pampering, interesting surroundings (both inside the Inn and out), the best breakfast anywhere and exceptional hosts, Cindy and Nathan, then stay here. Our best sleep away from home - the bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up. But it was good we did - the breakfast was amazing. Again the best we've had. I seem to be repeating the "best we had" but truly it was the best B&B we've stayed at.

Room tip: If you want lots of room for private time and a kingsize bed - then choose the master suite. Otherwise all the rooms looked just as comfortable and they do have many quiet places throughout the Inn and grounds.

We stayed here February 27th & 28th. We lucked into the annual murder mystery night (highly recommended! It is not at all a board game, this is the full-on dress-up version. Very fun).

You could not ask for for engaging and accommodating hosts. I am lactose intolerant and Cindy and her staff had no problem coming up with breakfasts I could eat.

The food, by the way, is fabulous, you will have a difficult time staring at your humble bowl of cereal after these meals.

Some reviewers warned of the disruption of the nearby clock tower. Through two nights and two breakfasts, I never even heard the clock's bells.

You won't forget this place.

We had a terrific time and enjoyed the hospitality of Cindy and Nathan. My daughter and I stayed in the Rose Suite and loved the claw foot tub. The property was very clean and comfortable. Not suitable for young children due to the amount of antiques. Very good wifi and the breakfast was superb. I appreciated the espresso maker and flavored syrups - a wonderful touch!
