I've stayed at the Palace Hotel everytime I go to Port Townsend...why change when they consistently offer such great service from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. Stay in a different room every visit and by the time you've tried them all, it will seem like a brand new experience when you begin the room rotation again. Whenever there is a problem, they make it right. I feel like I've gained friends upon departing each time, because the staff are all very open, friendly and gracious. You can't go wrong with the Palace!

WOW! Love the Palace, it's obvious the place is well loved and cared for. Loved Port Townsend. Would heartily recomend The Palace to all.

Although we stayed in the pet-friendly room which I believe isn't as grand as the other 18, it was still delightful. Just love the history of the building and owners care for the hotel. The bed was comfortable, the claw foot tub gorgeous, the sofa great to look at not so much to sit in. As we were on the Taylor St side we had quite a bit of noise for the patrons leaving the jazz club, but it was over in a few minutes and went right back to sleep. The location is fantastic, park your car and walk everywhere, all the shops, restaurants and waterfront. Really enjoyed our lunch at Sirens, dinner at Waterfront Pizza and shopping at the Clothes Horse.

What a lovely old hotel. it is difficult to keep an old hotel looking great, but they do a fine job: everything is clean and in good condition. All the hotel rooms are named after ladies of the evening. Our room Miss Kitty upstairs was surprisingly spacious, had a king bed, a lovely old refurbished bathroom yet all the amenities of wireless internet, tv etc. The hotel was quiet (did not hear ANY noise at all, maybe it's the quiet season?) and it had a lovely feel. Great, welcoming staff so helpful: thank you Bob, for your advice. We recommend and will return. Only small nit (and it is small) my husband booked the room because it had a wood stove / fireplace. Except there was no wood, and don't think it is ever used.
