My wife and her parents and I travelled to Port Orchard, Washington for a little relaxation and attend a Debbie Macomber book signing.My wife and her mother are huge Debbie Macomber fans and this was a surprise Mothers day gift for her mother! We stayed at Reflections Bed and Breakfast and had a wonderful time. Cathy our hostess was very friendly and treated us very well! As an added bonus, the Inn was the inspiration of one of Macombers books! The Inn was very beautifully decorated with many antiques she has collected through her many travels around the world. She shared many stories behind the history of these items in her Inn as well as stories about her travels! The view from the Inn is absolutely spectacular! I could sit for hours taking in the view, watching the ferries come in from Seattle, the sailboats, and the mountains in the backdrop! Breakfast was delicous, served in a beautifully decorated dining room which also has an amazing view out the windows. All in all, an amazing visit to Port Orchard, made all the better by choosing Reflections as our place to stay! Will definitely stay there again if we ever return to Port Orchard, which I'm sure we will!

I realize this review won't sound like the others but this was my experience. I went on a weekend just to visit Pt Orchard and typically stay in B&Bs. The owner of this B&B has been running it a long time with her husband, who is now deceased. She was just miserable the weekend I was there and it ruined my trip. She is trying to hang on to a business running it by herself and complained about all the problems, how hard it was to do, lack of help etc. Her husbands ashes and urn were in the dining room very visible. Weird. The entire place felt like not a B&B but just 'her home' and she didn't really appreciate you being there but you were needed to keep a salary of some sort. She wasn't even there to let me in on the day of check-in but had 'gone shopping' and left no NOTE or anything to me to say what to do. I drove a long way to get there, found the place locked up and was scared out of my wits that she had left for the weekend and forgotten about my reservation. I waited for an HOUR outside in my car and finally she drives up w/ her shopping bag and no apology. Her downstairs family room, dining room etc which is the area the B&B guests can use---was cluttered and looked like the area she herself lives in all the time and there was no effort to make you feel welcome. I was very uncomfortable. She plops down on the sofa in front of the tv and frankly I wasn't sure what to do with myself. Nothing wrong with the room or bathroom--just the overall feel of it's "HER house" and she wishes she didn't have to run it anymore and YOU weren't there, especially not run it by herself. Maybe it was just a really bad weekend, I have no idea. But it sure was a downer. The dining table in family room was stacked w/ her clutter and stuff and no room even for a guest to make themselves comfortable and chat or anything. There was one other couple there when I stayed overnight and I didn't even see them until breakfast. Breakfast was almost silent--the owner was still in an unhappy mood. The overall tone was just depressing. As far as the town itself, that was nice. The 'ferry taxi' for free to go over and see the water park on the other side was fun. Farmers market was fun. You could not walk from the B&B into town---too far away, road too narrow to be safe. I had hoped to be able to leave car parked but it was not possible.

The view is beautiful. It is a very comfortable place to stay. Kathy tries very hard to help you out in everyway. Her breakfasts are very good.

Great location to relax and do day trips. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Four from our family stayed at Reflections for a three night stay. We basically had the place booked between us. The pictures looked great and the place was even nicer. Clean, comfortable, unique, beautiful view, wonderful food, actually fabulous, and Cathy, our hostess was magnificent. She helped with finding places and joked along with us. This is the best place. It is Also close to the town of Port Orchard - easy to get to resturants. Also can easily walk down to the Sound and find shells. At night you can see the ferry crossings from your room. Real nice. I have stayed at many B&B's and I think this was my favorite!!!!!!!!
