Yes, the beds were double and not queen. It stated that in the room description. No fitted sheet. Flat was used instead. (Not the best chamber maid in the world but it would do.) Our only complaint was the pool. It was cold, HOWEVER, the staff were receptive to the guest's input and it was warmer the next day. I don't see any other complaints on that point here so assume it's not an ongoing issue. We have a 6 year old so the pool is IMPORTANT. I think they were just working through some adjusting. One day the hot tub was too hot and the pool too cold. We brought our own food and prepared it in the microwave and used the mini fridge. It all worked out well! Would definately stay here again. Good value for your money, if you are flexible.

The hotel is about 1 block from the beach. We would of had a peak a boo view of the beach if it were not for the tree directly in front of our window. The beds were tiny. One of us had to sleep on the floor. There were no fitted sheets on the bed, which really bothered us. There was very little walking space in the room. If I needed to put something away in the room, I had to instruct everyone to sit on their beds so I could walk through the room. The microwaves are older than me! The housekeeping got to our room late, but the room was clean. We enjoyed the pool, but were glad we were the only ones there due to its small size. Continental breakfast was nice, but no room to eat in the lobby if there were more than 6 people there at a time. The parking lot was small and tight. Once it filled up, it was hard for us to get our full size pick-up through the lot! For that price at the beach, we were lucky to get a room since it was a razor clam dig weekend. It was cheap, so we were lucky there. We stayed 2 nights, but tried to spend all our time except for sleeping and showering somewhere other than the room since it was so cramped. Not a terrible room, but not a luxurious one either. I guess it's true, you get what you pay for. It probably would have been a fine room for 1 person, but not comfortable for a family.

It started at checkin, the staff were zombie like. It was difficult to get an answer from them regarding dining or directions. When we got to our room it had not been turned and smelled of fish and dirty feet. The person at the desk argued that the room had been turned and it took escorting them to the room to see for themselves. Even then she resisted giving us another room. Finally, after repeated requests, She agreed to refund our money. I would like to say good about this place, but I just can't.

Don't go there expecting ocean view or even easy ocean access. You have to drive about a mile to the beach. The only views are of the parking lot or an overgrown, trash strewn lot with an abandoned building. Can't even hear the ocean - only traffic and your neighbors - walls are paper thin. The room smelled like stale cigaret smoke due to the coffee cans that line the walkways that the smokers congregate around. We checked in, stayed 20 minutes and checked out. Go down the road to Comfort Inn or one of the others with an ocean view - they will negotiate prices with you. We were not expecting much, except clean and quiet -
