Frequently reported to be the best in Oak Harbor, I've been coming here for five years with satisfactory results. Comfortable beds with clean large rooms. The breakfast that comes free is mediocre, but the staff is friendly and helpful.

I really liked this place. Everything was great except two things, 1) it was a little difficult getting out of the parking lot and into traffic, and 2) you could tell when housekeeping was doing laundry because the showers hot water would jump to ice cold and then to scolding hot. Don't shower after 9 AM.

Besides that it was fantastic. Amenities were great, rooms were very clean and tidy, alarm clocks worked, beds were comfy, and I loved the nice sinks. I would stay here again.

Immaculate, comfortable and friendly - it doesn't get any better than this! Add to that, reasonable prices, a delicious and generous breakfast and a very comfortable bed. The motel also provides free high speed internet access. The location on Whidbey Island is a very convenient stopover when taking the ferry from Anacortes to the San Juan Islands or to Victoria, BC. This motel really raises the bar as far as service and guest amenities are concerned.

The staff at the Coachman was friendly and helpful, although the front desk seemed minimally staffed and not able to give immediate service to more than one guest. We were given a room upgrade at check-in to a room with a kitchenette. If we were on a longer stay this would have been a signficant plus. The free continental breakfast was adequate but uninspiring. The room was clean and featured a small sofa and chair but the bed sagged a bit toward the middle, which affected our ability to sleep comfortably.
