“Great Place and Friendly Service”

After reading some of the Review's from other people, I'm a little shocked as to what they have said about Squaw Rock Resort.. This is a older Resort, and in the Three years that I have been going their, I have seen a dramatic Change..(For the Better).. They do say that they have WiFi and I did take my Laptop with me, I did have problems keep a connection, but heck I was their to be with Family and Friends, not spend my day Surfing the Web. (People need to get back to the Basics, and leave the PC's & Cell's Home, Spend some quality time with the Family).. After reading other people's review you can always tell when someone has their "Underware in a knot, and find something to complain about"

We had our Family Reunion at Squaw Rock and it was "GREAT" the Staff their was extremly helpfull and polite.

The only complaint I have is the Other People Camping.. Several times People would not respect my Camp Spot and walk right through.. It pissed me off and I finally told some people to quit walking their Dog through my Camp Spot and walk on the Trail..

My Family once again Booked out the park for our Yearly Family Reunion..

“Beware of Karoke Weekends!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2010

We arrived to a very unprofessional front desk lady with stains all over her clothes, she was very flustered and we felt as though her attitude was 'give us your money and git'. She had us booked for four sites, we needed only two as we were travelling with our parents. Once in our RV sites we found my in-laws had no picnic table and the person next to them was dumping their sewage in a portable container. Our site only had one 30 amp plug in, and the person next to us was already plugged in. While they had WiFi it was 'iffy' at best. You could only get a connection outside sitting in a certain area and it would drop every few minutes. The next day we went to shower and both the men's and ladies' needed some tending to. I found the ladies to have a terrible smell, couldn't place it, but it was NOT pleasant. The stall did not lock (just a shower curtain) and when I was drying off if someone had opened the door the whole campsite could have had a nice peek!! I was not comfortable having a shower!! There was only one mens and one ladies toilet stalls, so if you couldn't wait to use it, you had to use the PortaPotty. But what put an early end to our stay was Karoke Friday night (it happens on Saturday as well, we didn't stay!). We came back to our campsite shortly after 6:00 and the music from the adjacent restaurant was BLARING country music. While that was annoying enough the Karoke started sometime around 7:00 and went on, at a VERY LOUD decible until 11:15. And it only stopped then because my husband went over and asked them if they could shut it down as my kids couldn't sleep. The music started again the next morning at 10:20AM...that's when we decided to pack up and leave. Granted, they 'made it right' and refunded us the night we didn't stay. We wish they would have let us know beforehand that is what goes on the on the weekends...we would have made other arrangements. If they want to run their resort as a 'party' destination for the weekend that's great...just warn people! Our idea of camping is a little peace and quiet, the only noise at night being the river rushing through....not people doing their 'worst' impression of Brittany Spears!! My in-laws have traveled thousands of miles over the years and they both agreed this was the worst place they had ever stayed. Although we haven't traveled as many miles, I would agree it was the worst place we've ever stayed as well.

“Go Up The Road To Whistlin' Jacks”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2010

A friend and I booed this resort so we could be close to a family reunion up in the woods and nether of us is much of a camper. While the room was "OK" -- no roaches, but the bedding and pillows were a bit long in the tooth, and the electrical certainly wasn't up to code. While the resort advertises wi-fi -- besure to get the password when you check in (chipmunk) as the desk is closed and locked at 8pm. And the wi-fi only covers the restaurant area, forget about the rooms, campsites, RV sites. As for the room -- "Family Friendly" DVD's available at the front desk -- claim that their cable supplier went under. Gee, wonder what all those satellite companys are doing. Staff was a little odd as well -- checking in, she said pool closes at nine and don't think about jumping the fence -- she said this to my friend who is approximately 500# -- he doesn't jump anything. Neither of us stayed the second night of our two-night stay --- doesn't that say it all. We only tried this place because Whistlin' Jacks up the road was booked solid with a Roadster Rally. MIGHT be an OK place for an RV.

We went to go TENT Camp. That is not what this place is!! This was a trailer park! We camped in the middle of someones backyard. This resort was not a resort at all. If u have a camper take a chance but not with a tent!
