“Ok for the price- breakfast not so great”

Stayed for Black Friday 2011- the room was fine, and the rate was good. Breakfast was interesting.....so crowded, no where to sit at first. And, everything was white-the bread, bagels, cereal, waffles. Nothing healthy!! (except for apples, oranges, and bananas). Almost got knocked over trying to get a cup of coffee. The lobby was a bit dated and tired looking- saw quite a few cobwebs on the way up the stairs. Decent hotel for the money, but not sure I would stay there for more than one night.

“Free breakfast and wifi”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews on this site. Got this hotel for the night of Black Friday 2011 for $48 on name-your-price on Price Line. Check in girl, Sabrina (??) wasn't overly pleasant and just doing her job. Was given a King room without explanation that 2 beds were unavailable (2 females!). Room faced courtyard, towards hot tub. Smelled like spray where they try to kill any smells, but wasn't overly strong. The room was HUGE, bathroom was small. Very dated furniture (early 90's) but everything was clean. Free wifi! Oh and bring ear plugs, thin walls!

Breakfast waffles were fantastic and well organized with the portions in pre-measured cups to avoid a mess. There were also cereals, juices, packaged pastries (gag!) such as twinkies, coffee, tea, lots of fruit. There wasn't anywhere for us to sit as we went at 9am, but took it back to our room.

This hotel is attached to a Mexican Restaurant, where guests receive a discount (but not on alcohol)... I would recommend walking 1/2 block or so South down the street to a fantastic Mexican restaurant that has won many awards (and was busy ... good sign!) "El Gitano" .

Great location if you're just staying one night there ... close driving distance to Burlington Outlet Mall (Lululemon, Coach, GAP, etc), Cascade Mall, etc etc. About 30mins to Seattle Premium Outlet Mall.

I wouldn't plan a vacation to stay at this hotel more than one night, but for it's value and location, it does the trick.

Room Tip: Face courtyard!

“A welcome and nice surprise !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

This motel was clean, well decorated, nice bed and super friendly and accomodating staff.... far more than anyone dares to expect from a 2-star. There is also a lovely little pool and inner courtyard with fountain... far nicer than I've ever seen for a motel. Kudo's Days Inn!

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the courtyard/pool to avoid street noise BUT bear in mind on a great sunny week...

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

We were on a week long trip all over WA and we stayed here for a visit to North Cascades Natl park. I chose this place because all other hotels/motels nearby were charging too much and it was a weekend with an event in Mt Vernon. We stayed in a very handful Days Inns before and for a reason. This was no exception.
We arrived very late after a long drive from Olympic peninsula through Seattle. It is loacted next to a Mexican restaurant which was really loud. I thought it is located near a strip mall or something. There is an entertainement center(may be a club) right in front. Since it was a weekend it was crowded. Even Days Inns parking lot was full. While I was checking In, a drunk lady approached my wife who was sitting in the car and was yelling with all the trash and crap. This went on for a while and my wife was a bit scared. Thankfully a man who was equally shady came to her rescue and took the loud-mouthed lady away. The location never looked safe especially at night and the parking was really in open.
Like some people already mentioned, when we entered the room we were greeted with some unpleasant pungent smell(probably from the worst cleaners). I could not take it a bit so i called the front desk. The front desk lady came and sprayed a room freshner all over the carpet. That seems to have worked for the night. Now comes the worst part. The bed sheets and the comforter were really old and worn out. That's not all. They even had holes in them like someone put a hole with a cigarette or something. We had two double beds and both of them were in the same condition. We were too tired to change the room. God only knows how we would have spent the night but thankfully the tiredness took us right into deep sleep. The icing on the cake came at the breakfast, if you can call it that. There were only few things at the breakfast but there were tiny black flies too on them. We didn't eat any of it. Thought waffle will come to the rescue but the waffles came too tasteless may be the mix was not right.
Summary is if you are really really tired and here for only a night then you can risk it. Otherwise just avoid the horror. Only good thing i noticed was the front desk lady. She was nice and polite.
