This was my first time staying at an "ESA" hotel/studio. I had recently relocated to the Seattle area and needed affordable accomadations while I found an apartment. When I called to confirm my reservations the front desk clerk was a bit of an "airhead," and could not give me directions. Luckily it was pretty easy to find, right off of the highway. I checked in, and there must of been a shift change, b/c the clerk was articulate and accomadating. She could not of been the same girl I had spoken with previously who couldn't give me one single landmark. The room seemed like a good deal once I saw it. Things quickly changed. What I thought was a King bed was actually 2 twins pushed together. There was very little water pressure in the sinks. There is no dishwashing soap provided. The toilets are only 1.5 gallon tanks so unless you are a small woman or little kid you will have to flush 2-3 times per dump. The bathtub was pretty clogged up and I finished each shower ankle deep in water. They will only clean your room if you stay longer than a week, and then only once per week, and don't do a very good job even then. The housekeeping lady I overheard talking with a co-employee seemed to have a bad attitude. They don't isolate the smoking floors on the top level. So, you could be in a non smoking room and there might be a smoking room right below you, as was the case for me, and I noticed the lingering smell of cigarette smoke most of my stay. In conclusion, if you can make other arrangements do so. This place worked for me in a pinch, but I am very glad I only had to stay there one week. I don't think this company is going for repeat business...too bad, it's a good business concept otherwise. Good luck.
