An Embassy suite, by its nature is like a big apartment complex with everyone jammed together and an atrium in the middle.
We had five floors in this one. I do not know how similar it is to other Embassy Suite hotels.
We were there before, during, and after Christmas and New Years. During a normal week it was pretty peaceful with adult, business people being the norm. When the holidays arrived so did the wild indians. Parents let their children run wild through the hotel. Unsupervised, they played games in the elevators and went where they were not supposed to go. If you stepped out your door or elevator without caution you might be run over by a 13 YO running full-tilt! They screamed at each other from the open hallways throughout the hotel. Since it is open in the middle this was a real problem. Management did nothing that I could discern.
There was a lot of noise from road traffic. We asked to be moved and it helped a lot!
There are huge gaps under the doors to let noise in. They do nothing to dampen the closing of the doors. When a room's door closes it slams into the door frame with a resounding crash and that reverberates through adjoining rooms and the whole "open" hotel.
There were several dogs in the hotel at times. Whether they were allowed or not is unknown. They all did bark and make noise when coming and going. So much for any peace and quiet!
Note: I have made a big deal about the noise. I am not a fanatic. This is not a quiet place unless you get the right room at the right time. Good luck!
I cannot recommend any Embassy Suite that is in this open configuration if you go there when kids are there. It's bad enough to hear a business person showering and then allowing their door to slam at 6AM.
