Very clean like grandmother’s house, but the owner was very overbearing!
I can't believe she was rearranging guests silverware while they ate!
She had her own way of doing things, that I found way too much. Too much hovering and she rearranged our belongings in our room. It was funny in a sad kind of way.

this is just a wonderful choice. we had the best breakfast here, better than any others on our two week trip. there is no reason to consider staying anywhere else on the island.

What a wonderful inn! Clean and charming, and the hosts were wonderful. Kris and Robert met us upon arrival, made our dinner reservation for us and gave us a nice overview of their place. (They do not stay on the premises, but there is a phone and number to call in case of emergency.) There are "extras" in the room like sherry and chocolates, plus bottled water and juice with a small fridge available to all guests, as well as bicycles and helmets!! Breakfast at this inn was a real treat. They serve a very wide range of food buffet style and you can eat all you want!! Of special interest is they try to use local food where possible. Lopez Island seems to be almost self-sustaining, with small companies and farmers that provide much of their food.
There are no TVs here, so bring a book!

My husband and I stayed at the Edenwild Inn during a bicycle trip this summer. We are not big B&B fans, due to the lack of privacy and quiet (thin walls) that you typically find at such places, but the Edenwild was one of the nicer B&Bs we've stayed at. The room we had (I think it was #2, on the ground floor) was roomy and comfortable, though we could hear people in the rooms next to us and above us. The lack of curtains was also a bit of a problem, as was the lack of a nightstand on my side of the large, comfortable king-size bed. But besides those things, we enjoyed our stay. The Edenwild is very pretty, especially the grounds, and the location can't be beat. Breakfasts are lavish and delicious. And the place has a friendly vibe. However, I would caution all visitors to make sure to stay on the female owner's good side. (Most, if not everyone, in our group was a little afraid of her, as we were told she doesn't like hearing news from the mainland and doesn't like people moving anything around or getting her carpets dirty.)
